JOB OVERVIEW

Remote Bilingual (English + Mandarin/Cantonese) Surgery Scheduler

We are a growing medical practice in Southern California seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Surgery Scheduler to coordinate patient care and communicate with our English- and Chinese-speaking patients.

Responsibilities
-Schedule ophthalmology-related surgeries
-Communicate with patients in English and Mandarin or Cantonese
-Coordinate with surgery centers, physicians, and primary care offices
-Obtain medical clearances, insurance authorizations, and verify benefits
-Schedule postoperative appointments and provide surgery instructions
-Document accurately in the EMR and maintain excellent patient communication

Qualifications (Required)
-Fluent in English and Mandarin or Cantonese
-Strong communication and organizational skills
-Reliable internet and quiet home office
-Available to work U.S. Pacific Time business hours

Qualifications (Preferred)
-Experience with U.S. healthcare or medical scheduling
-Ophthalmology or optometry experience
-Familiarity with EMRs, Google Workspace, and Slack
