Full Time

Currently employed and just quietly open to something better? That's fine. This can start as a side commitment (~20 hrs/week) while you see if it's a fit — no pressure to leave your current work until you're ready to go full-time.
Low-risk way in: You'll start with just 1–2 client accounts, not a full book of business. As you prove yourself, we add more accounts and hours. Think of it as a trial that benefits both sides, not a sign we don't trust you.
Autonomy: You'll work directly with the founder — no client-facing meetings, ever. You own your accounts and your process. Outside of 1–2 short check-ins a week, your hours and how you work are up to you.
Hours: Full-time (40 hrs/week) is the end goal, ramping up slowly once trust has been built. Compensation: $16.00 per hour to start ($2,560/month at full-time hours), with a clear path to $20–25/hour for someone who proves they're exceptional and takes real ownership of accounts. Base pay is reviewed for increases as your hours and account load grow. We'd rather pay more for someone great than pay less for someone average. If you're a true senior operator with 8–10+ years and a track record to back it up, say so — rate is negotiable upward for the right person.
About Us
We're a U.S.-based digital marketing agency helping local, service-based businesses generate leads and grow. Our clients include businesses like plumbers, kitchen remodelers, home care agencies, dog trainers, attorneys, healthcare providers, and moving companies. We work across SEO, Google Ads, Meta Ads, websites, and analytics — but this role is focused specifically on SEO.
About the Role:
This is a senior-level position. You'll need to be comfortable across both Local SEO and national SEO, and have a real point of view on how people are discovering businesses beyond traditional Google search — social platforms and AI/LLM-driven search included.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct SEO audits and identify opportunities across technical, on-page, and off-page factors
- Develop and execute Local SEO strategy: GBP optimization, SAB strategy, citation audits/cleanup, review management, local content, grid ranking improvements
- Manage national SEO campaigns: keyword research, content strategy, technical fixes, schema, competitive analysis
- Optimize service pages, landing pages, and site content — title tags, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking
- Implement and maintain schema markup
- Fix technical SEO issues: crawl errors, redirects, site speed, Core Web Vitals
- Publish and update content in WordPress and Webflow
- Plan and execute ethical link-building and digital PR; assist with prospecting and outreach
- Think beyond Google — contribute strategy for visibility on
- Monitor rankings, traffic, conversions, and performance; report clearly (GA4, GSC, BrightLocal, Looker Studio)
- Coordinate with writers, designers, developers, and link-building partners as needed
- Follow documented processes, but bring your own ideas for improvement
Requirements:
- 5–10 years of hands-on SEO experience across both local and national campaigns
- Experience working with U.S.-based businesses, ideally local service businesses
- Advanced knowledge of Google Business Profile management and local ranking factors
- Strong technical SEO background (audits, Core Web Vitals, schema, crawl issues)
- Strong on-page/content optimization skills, with an eye for readability and conversion, not just keywords
- Familiarity with emerging "search everywhere" trends — social discovery, AI-driven search
- Comfortable using AI tools in your workflow, while still reviewing and validating your own output
- Excellent written and spoken English
- Strong attention to detail — small mistakes on live client sites have real consequences
- Reliable, consistent availability with some overlap in U.S. Eastern Time
Tools:
- BrightLocal
- Screaming Frog or Sitebulb
- GA4, GSC
- Ahrefs
- SEMrush
- WordPress
- Webflow
What Success Looks Like
- Recommendations are implemented accurately and thoughtfully, with minimal oversight
- Pages are optimized without hurting readability, UX, or conversion rate
- You spot opportunities proactively instead of waiting to be told
- Communication is clear, consistent, and organized
- Client visibility, traffic, and lead generation measurably improve
We're not looking for someone who blindly runs SEO checklists. We want someone who understands SEO exists to drive leads, sales, and revenue for real businesses — and who can balance best practices with common sense.
To Apply, Please Include
- A short intro — background, years of experience, local vs. national split
- Availability and rate
- Walk me through one specific client you personally helped grow. What kind of business was it, what was broken or missing when you started, what did you specifically do (not the team — you), what tools did you use, what were the results (numbers, even rough ones), and what would you do differently today? This is the question we use to screen for real experience — generic or copy-paste answers here will be passed over, no exceptions.
Hiring Process:
- Application review and shortlist
- Video interview (Google Meet) to assess communication and SEO knowledge
- Paid trial project (3–4 hours)
- Final call to review trial work before a decision
