JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role
British Swim School – Boston is hiring a part-time recruiter to manage ongoing hiring for swim instructors and support staff across our Greater Boston locations. This is a dedicated screening/recruiting role, not a generalist VA position. You'll own job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, pipeline management, second-round interview coordination (1–2/week), and onboarding coordination.

Responsibilities
Post and manage job ads across Indeed, ZipRecruiter, and other relevant US job boards
Screen resumes/applications for fit (reliability, availability, certifications, personality fit for working with kids)
Conduct initial phone/video screens with US-based candidates
Schedule second-round interviews with hiring managers
Coordinate new hire onboarding (send Gusto paperwork links, initiate background check requests, track documentation to completion)
Maintain an organized candidate pipeline/tracker (tools/templates provided)
Follow up proactively to reduce candidate drop-off/no-shows
Flag compliance red flags during screening

Requirements
2+ years recruiting, HR screening, or talent acquisition experience — required
Strong written and verbal English
Comfortable with US-style hourly/part-time hiring norms
Reliable internet, overlap with US Eastern Time
Experience with applicant tracking tools, or willingness to learn ours

Preferred
Familiarity with US labor law basics for hourly/part-time hiring (FLSA classification, at-will norms, basic EEOC awareness in screening questions)
Experience recruiting for childcare, education, fitness, or hospitality roles
Experience with Indeed/ZipRecruiter employer dashboards
