VIDEO EDITOR FOR PODCAST + VIRAL SOCIAL MEDIA CONTENT

$100 USD per completed project
This is NOT an hourly position.
We pay based on completed deliverables, not the number of hours it takes.
If you're efficient, organized, and produce exceptional work, you'll have the opportunity to complete more projects and increase your earnings over time.
Each completed project includes:
• One fully edited podcast episode (typically 1–2 hours in length)
• One mastered audio version
• One full podcast video with captions
• Five high-performing vertical videos for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube Shorts
• Up to 2 rounds of revisions (requested within 7 days of delivery)

This is much more than simply cutting footage together.
We are looking for someone who understands storytelling, viewer psychology, pacing, emotion, and how to keep audiences watching until the very end.
You should understand that every second matters.

WHAT YOU'LL BE EDITING
Each week you'll edit approximately:
• 2–3 podcast episodes
Each episode is generally between 1 and 2 hours long.
DELIVERABLES PER PROJECT
Each completed project includes:
• One professionally edited podcast video
• One professionally mastered podcast audio file
• One full podcast video with captions
• Five high-performing vertical videos
• Exported files ready for publishing
• Organized project files (if requested)
RESPONSIBILITIES
You'll be responsible for:
• Editing long-form podcast episodes
• Synchronizing multiple camera angles
• Removing mistakes, interruptions, filler words, and unnecessary dead space
• Improving pacing and overall viewer retention
• Creating compelling opening hooks
• Building curiosity throughout the episode
• Enhancing audio quality
• Balancing audio levels
• Adding intro, commercial, and outro sequences
• Creating engaging captions
• Delivering five viral-ready short-form clips
• Meeting weekly deadlines consistently
VISUAL EDITING REQUIREMENTS
We want every episode to feel polished, cinematic, and premium.
You should be comfortable with:
• Multi-camera editing
• Color correction
• Color grading
• White balance adjustments
• Exposure correction
• Brightness and contrast adjustments
• Skin tone correction
• Image sharpening
• Creating a polished cinematic look
AUDIO EDITING REQUIREMENTS
Audio quality is extremely important.
You should know how to:
• Reduce background noise
• Clean dialogue
• Balance audio levels
• Remove distracting pauses
• Improve clarity
• Deliver professional-quality podcast audio
RETENTION PSYCHOLOGY
This is one of the most important parts of this position.
We aren't looking for someone who simply edits.
We're looking for someone who understands why people continue watching.
You should understand concepts like:
• Retention psychology
• Curiosity loops
• Pattern interrupts
• Open loops
• Emotional storytelling
• Building tension
• Releasing tension
• Watch-time optimization
• Hook creation
You should constantly ask yourself:
"How do I keep the viewer watching another 30 seconds?"
CREATING VIRAL CLIPS
Every podcast should produce five outstanding short-form videos.
We're looking for clips with real viral potential.
You should be able to identify:
• Funny
• Emotional
• Vulnerable
• Shocking statements
• Powerful stories
• Unexpected reactions
• Inspirational advice
• Controversial opinions
The goal is simple:
Make people stop scrolling.
TURNAROUND TIME
We publish multiple episodes every week.
Meeting deadlines is critical.
Expected turnaround:
• Full podcast edit: 48–72 hours
• Five short-form clips: 24–48 hours after podcast approval
• Revisions: Within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible
If you already have multiple clients, that's completely fine.
However, you must have enough availability to consistently meet these deadlines.
REVISIONS
Each project includes:
• Up to 2 rounds of revisions
• Revision requests will be submitted within 7 days of delivery.
• Revisions should be completed within 24 hours whenever reasonably possible.
If additional revisions are requested because of a significant creative change (rather than correcting mistakes), additional compensation may be discussed.
SOFTWARE
Any professional editing software is welcome, including:
• Adobe Premiere Pro
• DaVinci Resolve
• Final Cut Pro
• CapCut
• Or equivalent professional editing software
BONUS SKILLS
These are not required but highly valued:
• Motion graphics
• Sound design
• Advanced color grading
• YouTube optimization
• Viral short-form editing
• Experience editing podcasts similar to Diary of a CEO

PAID EDITING TEST
