Experienced QS / Estimator (Virtual Assistant)

About our Business
We are a growing construction company based in Brisbane, Australia, specialising in commercial carpentry, internal fit-outs, ceilings and partitions, plastering, and external cladding.

We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator (Virtual Assistant) to join our team. This is a full-time remote position for someone who can produce accurate, competitive estimates and help secure new work while supporting our project delivery team.

This is a dedicated position. The successful applicant must work exclusively for Glenview Developments & Construction during their agreed working hours.

Key Responsibilities
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Complete detailed quantity take-offs from architectural and engineering drawings.
• Prepare detailed scopes of work.
• Review tender documentation and identify project risks.
• Obtain and compare supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Prepare purchase orders for awarded projects.
• Prepare variation pricing and quotations.
• Create scopes of work for active projects.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
• Ensure all tenders and estimates are completed within required timeframes.
• Prepare basic sketches or plan mark-ups where required.

Skills & Experience
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor or Estimator within the commercial construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of:
- Gyprock and plasterboard systems
- Suspended ceilings and partitions
- Commercial carpentry
- External cladding systems
- Doors, frames and hardware
- Insulation systems
• Proficient in Buildxact and Microsoft Excel.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural and engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and spoken English.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and consistently meet deadlines.
