The Role
We're a pre-launch clean pet grooming brand building an audience with ingredient-education video. The founder films herself and records voiceovers; you handle everything else, sourcing the visuals, building the graphics, editing, scheduling, posting, and community. The goal is that the founder is NOT tracking down images or assets; you are. You're organized, resourceful, and good at turning a founder's raw clips and a fact sheet into a polished, scroll-stopping video.
What you'll do
-Edit raw footage into finished Reels, TikToks, and Shorts: cuts, captions, text overlays, trending audio, and a strong hook in the first 2 seconds.
-Build videos in two formats: (1) the founder's voiceover played over ingredient labels and info visuals, and (2) the founder talking to camera with info graphics running in the background.
-Source the visuals so the founder doesn't have to: find ingredient-label images and product photos to feature, plus relevant b-roll and stock images (mindful of usage rights).
-Create and add on-screen graphics: green / yellow / red flag indicators, EWG score callouts, simple info cards, and text overlays, from the founder's fact sheets.
-Write captions and hashtags in brand voice (playful, warm, educational) from the founder's talking points.
-Schedule and post across Instagram and TikTok (plus Pinterest / YouTube Shorts repurposing) on an agreed calendar.
-Light community management: reply to comments and DMs in brand voice, and flag anything that needs the founder.
-Maintain a shared asset library, raw footage in, finished assets out, plus saved label images, product shots, and reusable graphic templates, so nothing gets re-hunted.
-Send a simple monthly performance snapshot: reach, follower growth, saves/shares, top posts, and
You should have
-A portfolio of short-form videos you've edited (Reels / TikToks). This is the #1 requirement.
-Strong short-form editing skills (CapCut, Premiere, or similar).
-Graphic and simple motion-graphics ability (Canva, CapCut, or After Effects) for on-screen flags, score callouts, and info cards.
-Resourcefulness at sourcing images, product photos, and stock footage, and awareness of usage rights.
-Good caption writing and a feel for hooks, trends, and hashtags on Instagram and TikTok.
-Experience with a scheduling tool (Later, Metricool, Planoly, or Buffer).
-Reliability and proactive communication. You hit the posting cadence without being chased.
Nice to have
-Pet, lifestyle, or clean-beauty / DTC brand experience.
-Community management experience and light analytics reporting.

-Compensation: Please share your rate and availability.
Brand voice guardrails (you'll get a full guide)
-Human and warm. No AI-sounding copy, and no em dashes.
-Cosmetic/grooming claims only. Never medical or drug claims (no 'cures,' 'treats,' 'heals').
-Educate about ingredients and categories. Never name or criticize specific competitor brands unless the founder has cleared it.
-EWG wording: 'formulated with EWG 1–2 rated ingredients.' Never say 'EWG Verified' (we're not certified yet).
-Use only the founder's approved fact sheets for any ingredient claim, and route anything uncertain to the founder before posting.
To apply
Send your portfolio (2–3 short-form videos you edited, ideally some with on-screen graphics), your rate, your weekly availability, and one sentence on why clean pet care appeals to you.
