JOB OVERVIEW

Video Editor Needed: Multi-Source Tutorial Video (Tech/XR YouTube Channel)

Job Type: Project-based (potential for ongoing work if it's a good fit)
Pay: Per-project flat rate (quoted after reviewing your portfolio and the project scope)
Location: Remote, work from home

About the Channel

I run Himels Tech, a YouTube channel covering Apple Vision Pro, spatial computing, sim racing, and AI/XR tools. We're at over 20,000 subscribers with 8 million lifetime views on YouTube, and around 15 million across all platforms. Average view duration runs well above industry norm, so retention and pacing matter a lot on this channel.

The Project

I'm working on a tutorial-style video for an upcoming collaboration with Higgsfield AI. The edit will combine:

Webcam footage with audio (my on-camera narration)
Multiple additional video sources (B-roll and/or a second camera angle)
Screen recording footage (software walkthrough)

I need someone who can sync all of this cleanly, cut it into a tight, engaging tutorial, and make it feel professional, not like a stitched-together screen capture.

Responsibilities

Sync audio and video across multiple sources (webcam, screen recording, additional cameras)
Edit into a polished tutorial format: clear pacing, clean cuts, no dead air
Add captions, text callouts, and zoom/highlight effects on screen recording sections where useful
Light color correction and audio leveling across sources
Deliver a project file or clearly organized export settings so revisions are easy
Turn around a first cut within an agreed timeframe (we'll set this per project)

Requirements

Proven experience editing multi-camera or multi-source videos (please share 2 to 3 examples, ideally tutorial or tech content)
Comfortable working with screen recording footage specifically (this is not just talking-head editing)
Strong sense of pacing for YouTube retention, not just technically correct cuts
Reliable communication and ability to take short, direct feedback and revise quickly
Familiarity with CapCut is a plus but not required. Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or Final Cut are all fine

Nice to Have

Interest in or familiarity with tech, gadgets, VR/AR, or gaming content
Experience editing sponsored or branded content

How to Apply

Please start your application with the word "TUTORIAL" so I know you read the full post. Include:

Your rate for a project like this (flat rate per video)
2 to 3 links to edited work, ideally something with multiple video sources or screen recording
Your typical turnaround time for a first cut

This is starting as a one-off project, but if it's a great fit, there's real potential for ongoing work editing future videos.
