JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for an experienced Xero Expert to join our international finance team. You will be responsible for the bookkeeping of our Spanish retail company and support our international accounting processes.

This is a long-term position for someone who is highly organized, proactive, and able to work independently.

Your Responsibilities

* Daily bookkeeping in Xero
* Bank, credit card and payment reconciliations
* Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable
* Month-end closing
* VAT (IVA) preparation and reconciliation
* Preparation of financial reports
* Management reporting and KPI reporting
* Follow up on missing invoices and accounting documents
* Keep the accounting up-to-date on a daily basis
* Work closely with management and external accountants in Spain

Requirements

* Minimum 3 years of hands-on Xero experience (mandatory)
* Excellent bookkeeping and accounting skills
* Experience with Spanish accounting and VAT (IVA)
* Experience with multi-currency accounting (EUR, USD and GBP)
* Excellent English communication
* Strong Excel / Google Sheets skills
* Highly accurate and detail-oriented
* Able to work independently and meet deadlines
* Stable internet connection and quiet home office

* Experience with Shopify
* Experience with international companies
* Experience with inventory accounting
* Experience with retail accounting
* Knowledge of Xero integrations
