JOB OVERVIEW

General Manager — Rize Brands

Reports to: KPIS, team, DATA and Colin last (Founder/Owner)
Type: Full-time, remote, leadership
One line: You run the day-to-day. Colin becomes the owner/investor. You become the operator.

---

Why This Role Exists

Right now, things get done when Colin checks and stall when he doesn't. Cards sit for weeks. KPI sheets go stale unless he asks. Listings publish with missing images. Memos get half-read. Teams wait to be told what to do.

The company doesn't have a talent problem. It has an ownership vacancy. You fill it.

---

Hours & The Deal

Full-time. Core hours 9am–1pm EST, every workday — flexible beyond that. Core hours are when the team overlaps, meetings run, and bottlenecks get solved live. The rest of your day, we care about output, not where or when.

Earn a shorter day. Perform at a high level and you earn a 7-hour workday. Truly dial in the systems, agents, and team — the machine runs without babysitting — and after a year you earn a 6-hour day at full pay. The better you build it, the less you grind. That's the deal.

---

The Stack — Non-Negotiable

Claude + Notion + Slack. That's the operating system. You live in all three, daily.

Claude — connected to Notion, Shopify, and our data. Audit brands, catch errors, review work, build agents that enforce the system so you're not chasing people manually. If you're not already using AI heavily, do not apply.

Notion — the single source of truth. Every card, every owner, every status. You enforce it.

Slack — where the team runs. Clear async communication, no meetings needed to make decisions.

No exceptions, no workarounds, no "I prefer my own tools."

---

What You Own

1. Projects get FINISHED. Not started, not 80% — done, shipped, live. You drive every open project to the finish line and kill or archive what shouldn't exist.

2. Notion 100% updated at all times. Every card has an owner, status, and proof of work. Nothing sits. People who won't keep it updated after coaching — you let them go. That authority is yours.

3. KPIs hit. Every team's sheet updated before Monday, unprompted. Teams hit their numbers or you have a written plan for what changes. You send Colin ONE report every Friday.

4. MWF all-hands + trainings — you run them. Agenda, training content, meeting cards completed, teams on pace. These are yours, not Colin's.

5. App infrastructure gets built. Own the roadmap for our internal apps and agents (Arena, content/ad systems, reporting agents) — drive the builders, remove blockers, ship it.

6. Errors don't sit. Sites, listings, inventory, orders — broken things are found by us, not by Colin logging in.

7. Performance decisions are yours. Improvement plans and removals happen without Colin's involvement. Ever.

How You Work

Level 5 agency: you find the problem, fix it, and keep Colin in the loop. Never bring a problem without a recommendation. Bottleneck? Huddle, solve it live, move on. Data d ---------- everything — Notion activity, KPI output, deliverables. Numbers, not vibes.

KPIs — Weekly

- Zero stale Notion cards at Friday close
- 100% of team KPI sheets in before Monday, unprompted
- MWF all-hands + trainings run, on time, every week
- Friday GM report delivered, every week
- Errors found by Colin: zero
- Projects finished vs. sitting — measured and reported

Who Fits / Who Doesn't

Fits: You've run teams. You're comfortable being the bad guy when standards slip — including letting people go. Fast, direct, organized to a fault, already AI-heavy.

Doesn't: Anyone who needs Colin to make the calls, reports problems instead of fixing them, or lets things slide to avoid confrontation. That's the exact gap this role closes.

---

Success in 90 Days

Colin opens Notion — everything's updated. Projects are finishing, not sitting. All-hands run without him. He gets one clean report Friday and hasn't repeated a memo, chased a card, or found a broken listing in a month. The team knows who runs day-to-day. It isn't him.
