About the Role

Cory Media Group ( ---------- ) is a full-service digital marketing agency in Shelbyville, Tennessee. We're looking for a web developer who combines real GoHighLevel and Word{ress build skills with genuine technical SEO understanding — someone who doesn't just implement changes, but verifies their own work and catches problems before they become site-wide issues.

This is a hands-on role: building and maintaining client websites and funnels inside GoHighLevel, with a strong emphasis on getting the technical SEO foundation right — canonical tags, indexability, clean site structure, and on-page optimization.

What You'll Do

Build and maintain websites/funnels in GoHighLevel for our agency site and client accounts
Create new service and location pages with correct technical SEO setup from the start (unique titles, H1s, meta descriptions, canonical tags, internal linking)
Diagnose and fix technical SEO issues (redirects, canonical chains, indexability problems, broken links)
Work from SE Ranking audit reports and Google Search Console data to identify and resolve issues
Communicate clearly about what was done and how it was verified — every task should come with proof it worked, not just a status update

What We Need From You

Solid hands-on experience building sites/funnels in GoHighLevel
Working understanding of technical SEO fundamentals: canonical tags, redirects (301 vs. temporary), XML sitemaps, indexability, duplicate content issues
Comfortable reading and acting on SE Ranking or similar site audit reports
Strong written and spoken English
Most importantly: you check your own work. If you make a change, you verify it actually took effect before calling it done.

Step 2 — Paid trial project (final 3 candidates only). A small, paid, real-world build project — creating a service page from scratch with correct SEO fundamentals built in. This is a genuine paid engagement, not unpaid "spec work."

We're upfront about this process because we've learned the hard way that a polished resume and interview don't tell you whether someone actually verifies their own work. If that sounds like a reasonable way to be evaluated, we'd love to hear from you.
