About Us:
- We're a growing Australian Managed IT Services Provider (MSP) supporting small and medium businesses across NSW/ACT. - We're expanding our technical team and looking for someone who wants to grow with us, not just process tickets.
The Role:
- This is an L2 helpdesk engineer role covering Australian Eastern business hours (Sydney/Canberra time, adjusts for daylight saving).
- You'll handle L2 support tickets, manage inbound and outbound support calls, and work closely with our senior team on M365 and networking issues.
- This role has real growth potential. Within 6 months, if you show strong technical skill and communication, we want to bring you into client meetings directly — so we're looking for someone who is not just technically strong, but professional, well-spoken and presentable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle L2 support tickets end to end (troubleshoot, resolve, escalate when needed)
- Monitor and manage the support phone line, inbound and outbound calls
- Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting (Exchange Online, Entra ID, Intune, SharePoint, Teams)
- Networking support: firewalls, VPNs, switches, Wi-Fi, basic routing
- Document work clearly in our ticketing system
- Work closely with the team lead and senior techs on complex issues
Requirements:
- Minimum 4-5 years hands-on IT support experience, MSP experience strongly preferred
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration
- Solid networking fundamentals
- Excellent spoken and written English, comfortable on the phone with Australian clients
- Reliable internet and a proper home office setup for calls
- Available to work Australian Eastern hours (Sydney/Canberra time)
Nice to Have:
- Microsoft certifications (MS-102, MD-102 or similar), CCNA or equivalent
- Previous client-facing IT support experience
Engagement & Pay:
- Independent contractor role, starting as a paid trial (5 hrs/day) for the first 30-60 days
- Trial rate: AUD $1,500-$1,750/month, based on experience
- Strong performers move to full-time hours with a long-term contract after the trial
- Genuine path to becoming client-facing within 6 months for the right person
