JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a passionate and energetic SAT/ACT Tutor specializing in English to join our dynamic educational team. Responsibilities

Deliver engaging and personalized tutoring sessions focused on SAT and ACT English sections, including reading comprehension, grammar, vocabulary, and essay writing.
Develop tailored lesson plans that align with each student’s unique learning style, goals, and current skill level.
Utilize online tutoring platforms and educational technology to create interactive lessons that foster active learning and student engagement.
Guide students through test-taking strategies specific to the SAT and ACT English components to maximize their scores.
Assess student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and adjusting instruction accordingly to ensure continuous improvement.
Prepare students for the nuances of test formats by conducting practice exams and review sessions that simulate real testing conditions.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, or school counselors when appropriate to support student success in standardized testing.
Requirements

Proven experience in tutoring or teaching English at the high school level or higher, with a focus on standardized test preparation.
Strong knowledge of the SAT and ACT English sections, including skills in reading comprehension, grammar rules, vocabulary development, essay writing, and test strategies.
Familiarity with online tutoring platforms and educational technology integration to enhance remote learning experiences.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and connect with teenagers effectively.
Demonstrated classroom management skills in both virtual and in-person settings.
Experience developing curriculum or lesson plans tailored for test prep courses or individual tutoring sessions.
Background in working with diverse learners, including those requiring special education accommodations or adult learners seeking exam improvement.
