Position: Interior Design & Social Media Assistant
Salary: $6-8/hr, negotiable depending on experience
Job Type: Part-time (20 hours per week)
Working Hours: TBD, within UK Business Hours
We're looking for a creative and organised Interior Design & Social Media Assistant to support both our interior design projects and social media management efforts. This is a remote role that combines interior design, content creation, and social media management. If you have experience in interior design, enjoy creating engaging social media content, and are confident working independently, we'd love to hear from you.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
* Take architect/developer floor plans and add furniture layouts in line with the boss's direction.
* Position lighting points to improve functionality and atmosphere.
* Suggest feature lighting placements where appropriate.
* Prepare décor schedules and finishes plans.
* Add paint colours, feature walls, wallpapers, panelling, and finish details to floor plans.
* Create clear legends and notes for installers and site teams.
* Use AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar software to update and annotate floor plans.
* Add furniture blocks and simple 3D views to drawings.
* Export clear drawings and PDFs for clients, contractors, and marketing use.
* Maintain furniture schedules, FF&E lists, décor schedules, and other project documentation.
* Plan, schedule, and publish content across LinkedIn, Instagram,
* Create engaging social media graphics using Canva or similar design tools.
* Edit short-form videos using CapCut or similar video editing software.
* Write engaging social media posts and captions using AI tools while ensuring all content sounds natural, human, and aligned with the brand's voice.
* Repurpose blogs, newsletters, and other long-form content into social media posts, carousels, and videos.
* Create carousel posts using existing brand templates.
* Research content ideas and industry topics to support the content calendar.
* Engage with audiences across social media platforms through thoughtful comments and interactions.
* Monitor comments and messages and escalate important enquiries when needed.
* Organise and maintain social media assets, templates, AI prompts, SOPs, trackers, and files in Google Drive.
* Prepare weekly reports on social media performance and engagement.
* Complete other social media-related tasks as instructed.
Must-have qualifications:
* Interior design background.
* Experience using SketchUp or similar design software.
* Experience in social media management and content creation.
* Strong Canva skills, especially in creating static posts and carousel content.
* Basic short-form video editing experience using CapCut or similar software.
* Good copywriting skills.
* Experience with community engagement.
* Familiarity with Google Workspace and Google Drive.
* Ability to use AI writing tools while producing natural, human-sounding content.
* Excellent written English and communication skills.
* Creative with a strong eye for design.
* Proactive and eager to learn the client's writing style and brand voice.
* Organised and able to manage multiple tasks independently.
* A portfolio showcasing both social media and design work.
Additional, nice-to-have qualifications:
* Knowledge of AutoCAD.
* Experience working with property, interior design, or real estate businesses.
