JOB OVERVIEW

We're a boutique mortgage brokerage in Australia, and we're hiring an experienced SEO specialist to own our entire search presence — with high-quality content creation as the second half of the role.

SEO is the core of this job. You'll need serious, provable experience — not theory, not "I know the basics." Content is what rounds it out to full-time: well-researched articles, LinkedIn posts, Google Business content, and social content across our channels.

What you'll own:

SEO (the main game):

Technical SEO — site health, crawl and indexing, redirects, page speed, WordPress

Local SEO across multiple regional areas plus a capital city — Google Business Profile, citations, location pages
On-page optimisation, keyword research, Search Console

White-hat link building — including building relationships with partner and industry websites (real estate agents, accountants, industry publications) to earn genuine, trust-building backlinks. Outreach and relationship skills matter here, not directory spam.

A clear, structured SEO plan that you build, present, and execute

Content (the second half):

Well-researched articles and blog content for a finance audience — drawing on news, market updates, and genuine research, not AI filler

LinkedIn and social media content

Content that's accurate and trustworthy — this is a finance niche, so the E-E-A-T bar is high

AI tools are fine as part of your workflow, but the research and thinking must be genuinely yours. We can tell the difference, and so can Google.

You're who we're after if you have:

4+ years of hands-on SEO with real technical depth — not a content-only background

Proven, numeric results for businesses in Australia, New Zealand, the UK, or the US — rankings, traffic growth, or a recovery you can walk us through

Real link-building experience through outreach and partnerships — you can show us backlinks you've earned and explain how you got them

Experience in real estate or finance (strongly preferred — this goes straight to the top of the pile)

The ability to present a clear SEO plan: what you'd do, in what order, and why

Excellent written English — you'll be writing content our clients read

Full-time availability. We're in Perth, Western Australia — same timezone as the Philippines, so no odd hours required
