VA Engagement Leader — Enterprise
Company: Legal Soft (Virtual Staff, Inc.)
Team: Enterprise
Reports to: Enterprise Operations Manager
Location: Remote
Schedule – 8-5 Pacific, Full Time
About the role
Legal Soft places and manages virtual assistants for law firms across the U.S. Our Enterprise VAs are the heart of those accounts — and keeping them engaged, heard, and supported is how we keep them.
The VA Engagement Leader exists to improve Enterprise VA retention. You are the concierge and trusted point of contact for every Enterprise VA: the person they can come to with concerns that aren't getting resolved through the usual channels or their CSM. You also own the fun and the recognition — planning, budgeting, and running the engagement activities, events, games, and awards that make people feel valued and connected to a remote team.
This is a people-first role. You're equal parts advocate, event host, program manager, and culture-builder.
What you'll own
Concierge & listening channel
?Serve as the single, approachable point of contact for Enterprise VAs to raise concerns, frustrations, and ideas — especially issues that haven't been resolved through normal channels or the CSM.
?Listen first, advocate for VAs, and follow concerns through to resolution.
?Route issues to the right owner (CSM, People Ops, leadership), and escalate anything sensitive — misconduct, safety, harassment, contractual, or legal matters — to People Ops/HR promptly rather than handling it alone.
?Spot patterns across conversations and surface early retention risks before they become resignations.
Engagement program & events
?Plan and run the engagement calendar (the Schedule of Events): virtual meetings, games, socials, celebrations, and milestone
?Host and facilitate sessions live — keep them warm, inclusive, and worth showing up for across time zones.
?Design recognition and awards programs that genuinely land; maintain the VA Awards Log.
Budgeting & operations
?Own the engagement budget — plan spend, track it, and manage disbursements (Budget Tracker, Disbursement Log) within the per-CSM/program budget.
?Keep the engagement tracker and dashboard current; report on participation, sentiment, and impact on retention.
?Continuously improve the program based on what's actually moving retention and morale.
What success looks like
?30 days: Known and trusted by Enterprise VAs as their go-to; concierge channel live with a clear intake and escalation path; engagement calendar drafted.
?60 days: Regular cadence of engagement activities and recognition running; first read on VA sentiment and recurring concern themes shared with leadership.
?90 days: Measurable lift in participation and VA sentiment, faster resolution of raised concerns, and an early, positive signal on retention/at-risk trends.
You're a strong fit if you have
?3+ years in employee experience, engagement, HR/People Ops, community management, or a people-facing program role.
?A genuine people-first instinct — high EQ, great listener, naturally trusted, discreet with sensitive information.
?Proven experience planning and hosting events or programs, ideally for remote/distributed teams.
?Budgeting and program-tracking discipline — you can plan spend, stay within it, and report cleanly.
?Confidence hosting and facilitating live (virtual) sessions for groups.
?Strong organization and follow-through; you close loops on the concerns people bring you.
?Sound judgment on what to handle yourself vs. escalate to HR/People Ops.
Nice to have
?Experience with a virtual/offshore or distributed workforce, and cross-cultural sensitivity.
?Familiarity with the legal industry or BPO/outsourcing.
?Comfort with the tooling we run on (HubSpot, Google Sheets) for trackers, calendars, and reporting.
?Recognition/rewards program design experience.
