We are a metal fabrication, welding, and machining shop in the United States looking for a highly capable, multi-skilled individual from the Philippines to join our team long-term.

This is not a simple data-entry job. We are looking for an all-around problem solver who can help with CAD work, material takeoffs, shop drawings, estimating support, fabrication planning, technical research, product development, software projects, and sales/marketing systems.

The right person should have experience or familiarity with structural steel, metal fabrication, welding, machining, and how metal parts are actually made in the real world. You do not need to know everything on day one, but you must be willing to learn quickly, figure things out, and take ownership of tasks even when they are unfamiliar.

During busy times, the work may focus heavily on project takeoffs, CAD, shop drawings, estimating, and fabrication planning. During slower times, you may be helping engineer new products, design parts, build internal software using AI tools, create sales funnels, research new business ideas, improve systems, or help develop new revenue streams for the company.

We need someone highly versatile. The ideal person is not limited to one narrow job description. We are looking for an all-star player who can move between technical, creative, research, software, and business tasks as needed.

**Pay and Hours:**

This position is for approximately **20–40 hours per week**, depending on workload, skill level, and performance.

The base pay is **$5 USD per hour**. This base rate applies during slower periods, training periods, research tasks, internal projects, and general busy work.

When we are working on highly profitable jobs, large fabrication projects, successful estimates, product development, or revenue-generating work, we are happy to increase pay and offer strong performance bonuses. We want someone who can grow with the company and be rewarded when they help create real value.

For the right person, this can become a long-term role with increasing responsibility, higher pay opportunities, and bonuses based on performance and profitable work.

**Main Responsibilities:**

* Review architectural drawings, structural drawings, shop drawings, and PDFs
* Perform material takeoffs for metal fabrication projects
* Identify steel members, panels, plates, tubes, brackets, cages, railings, frames, and other fabricated components
* Create or assist with CAD drawings and shop drawings
* Help organize parts, assign part numbers, and break large projects into clear fabrication scopes
* Assist with estimating by identifying materials, quantities, processes, and fabrication steps
* Research materials, hardware, fabrication methods, welding requirements, and project details
* Help convert customer drawings and project information into clear shop instructions
* Help engineer and develop new metal products
* Assist with software projects using AI tools, no-code tools, or programming when needed
* Help build sales funnels, landing pages, lead lists, and marketing systems
* Research new business opportunities and ways to improve company operations
* Communicate clearly about what information is missing or unclear
* Use AI tools, software, and online resources to solve problems and improve workflow

**Required Skills:**

* CAD experience such as AutoCAD, Fusion 360, SolidWorks, Revit, SketchUp, or similar
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Experience with takeoffs, estimating, or quantity counts
* Familiarity with structural steel and metal fabrication
* Basic understanding of welding, cutting, bending, drilling, machining, and assembly processes
* Strong English reading and written communication
* Strong attention to detail
* Ability to learn independently and solve problems without needing every step explained
* Willingness to work on different types of tasks depending on what the business needs

**Big Plus If You Have:**

* Background in computer science, programming, automation, or scripting
* Experience with Revit, BIM files, IFC files, STEP files, or DWG files
* Experience creating shop drawings
* Experience with steel detailing
* Familiarity with CNC plasma, laser cutting, press brake bending, machining, or welding symbols
* Electronics or controls knowledge
* Experience building websites, landing pages, sales funnels, or internal tools
* Experience using AI tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Replit, or other automation tools
