JOB OVERVIEW

Podcast Editor Needed — Health, Fitness & Biohacking Show | Remote | 1 Episode/Week + Clips

We're looking for a skilled video editor to join the team at DDT Method — a podcast and content brand in the health optimization, peptides, biohacking, and performance space.
What we're producing:

1 full-length podcast episode per week
5 short-form clips per episode optimized for Instagram, YouTube Shorts, and TikTok

Full Episode Editing:

Multi-camera remotely recorded podcast (two-person talking head format)
Cut between speakers, remove dead air, ums, and flubs
Color grade footage for a consistent, polished look
Audio cleanup and mastering (noise reduction, EQ, leveling, compression)
Insert and pace ad reads cleanly within the episode
Export in proper format for YouTube

Short-Form Clips:

Timestamps will be provided for segments to pull from
You will identify the strongest hook within each segment — this is not a trim-and-export job
Cut fluff aggressively. We want clips that hold attention from second one
Add B-roll, motion graphics, text captions, and sound design where appropriate
These clips need to stop the scroll. If you don't understand short-form retention editing, this isn't the right fit

You're a good fit if:

You have genuine interest in fitness, health optimization, biohacking, or performance — you don't need to be an expert, but you need to actually care about the space
You're comfortable with basic audio restoration (iZotope RX or similar)
You understand color correction and grading for talking head content
You know how to find a soundbite, not just clip a timestamp
You work independently, hit deadlines, and don't need hand-holding
You have a portfolio that includes both long-form podcast edits and short-form clips with real retention data or clear evidence of virality

What this isn't:
This isn't a beginner project. We move fast and we have a specific aesthetic. If you've only done wedding videos or YouTube vlogs, this probably isn't the right fit. If you've edited for podcasters, supplement brands, coaches, or health/fitness creators — we want to hear from you.

To apply:
Fill out our short application here — takes about 5 minutes:

We're looking for long-form and short-form portfolio examples, your turnaround times, your rate, and one question about why this niche specifically. Looking to move quickly on this.
