JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are seeking a tenured Construction Takeoff Estimator to join our growing team. This is not an entry-level position. We are only considering candidates with 3–5+ years of hands-on construction estimating experience who can independently perform material takeoffs, interpret construction drawings and specifications, and prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial, industrial, institutional, or specialty construction projects.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience reviewing construction documents, identifying project scope, and producing detailed estimates with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities
Review architectural, structural, civil, mechanical, and specialty trade drawings.
Perform detailed material quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam Revu.
Analyze plans, specifications, addenda, RFIs, and bid documents.
Identify project scope, exclusions, assumptions, and potential cost risks.
Prepare accurate quantity surveys and cost estimates.
Coordinate with project managers, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
Review plans for discrepancies and communicate findings.
Assist with bid preparation, proposal development, and project handoff.
Maintain estimating databases, spreadsheets, and project documentation.
Support project planning and business development with accurate estimating information.
Required Qualifications
Minimum 3–5 years of hands-on construction estimating and material takeoff experience.
Proven ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and specifications.
Experience estimating commercial, industrial, institutional, or specialty construction projects.
Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and installation practices.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage multiple estimates while meeting deadlines.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
