About Us
We are a fast-growing Texas criminal defense law firm seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Operations Coordinator to support our attorneys and legal team. This role is responsible for keeping cases moving forward by coordinating with courts, government agencies, and internal staff while maintaining accurate case management.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with structured processes, managing deadlines, and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks.
Responsibilities:
Case Management
>Prepare and manage PTIP and PTD applications
>Maintain accurate case information and status updates in MyCase
>Send ICOC forms to the appropriate courts
>Prepare and submit Requests for Process
>Review drafted motions for accuracy and completeness before attorney approval
Court & Agency Coordination
>Communicate professionally with courts, clerks, law enforcement agencies, probation departments, and other government offices
>Follow up with court and probation staff regarding attorney questions and pending matters
>Schedule attorney jail visits
>Coordinate assignments with private investigators
Discovery Management
>Manage and maintain the firm's Discovery Tracking Spreadsheet
>Follow up with courts and prosecutors regarding outstanding discovery requests
>Monitor the firm's discovery
>Upload, organize, and maintain discovery files in Dropbox using established filing standards
License & Administrative Case Management
>Manage Administrative License Revocation (ALR) matters
>Manage Occupational Driver's License (ODL) matters
>Track deadlines and ensure required filings are completed on time
>Escalate issues requiring attorney attention
Qualifications
>Excellent written and spoken English
>Strong organizational and time management skills

>Ability to manage multiple active cases simultaneously

>Comfortable communicating with U.S. courts and government agencies
>Ability to work independently while following documented procedures
>Reliable high-speed internet connection

>Available to work during U.S. Central Time business hours
Preferred
>Previous experience working for a U.S. law firm
>Experience with MyCase or other legal case management software
>Experience with criminal law or litigation support
>Experience managing legal documents and court filings
>Familiarity with Dropbox, Google Workspace, Slack
>Knowledge of Texas legal procedures is a plus (training provided)
