Looking for Philippines-based candidates
Job Role: Senior Google Ads Specialist (PPC)
Compensation range: $2,500–3,000 AUD / Monthly
Engagement type: Independent Contractor Agreement
Work Schedule: This role is expected to align with Australian business hours (approx. 8:30 AM – 5 PM AEST, Monday to Friday) for collaboration, but as a contractor, you’ll have flexibility in how you manage your time.
Who We Are
We are a leading Australian marketing agency. We help businesses grow by turning digital presence into real results. By blending creative strategies with data-driven insights, we craft campaigns that connect with the right audiences and drive measurable impact. Our focus is on understanding each client’s unique goals, delivering clarity, performance, and meaningful growth every step of the way. This is a 100% remote role, so you’ll be able to work from home.
Role Overview
You will be responsible for paid search strategy, campaign management, conversion tracking, optimisation, reporting and execution across multiple client accounts. Our clients operate across industries such as finance, trades, professional services, eCommerce, construction, property and local services. You will need to know what matters, what does not and where spend and time should go to get the strongest return for each client.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop paid search strategies and monthly priorities for client accounts
• Build, manage and optimise Search, Performance Max, Shopping and Display campaigns
• Manage budgets, bidding strategies, audiences and account structure within a manager (MCC) account
• Set up, audit and troubleshoot conversion tracking end to end across Google Ads, Google Tag Manager and GA4 — identifying tracking issues before they affect results or the client notices
• Manage Google Merchant Center and product feeds, including disapprovals, URL health and feed optimisation
• Check that ad destinations actually work — spotting 404s, broken redirects and poor landing-page experiences — and flag fixes to the web team
• Complete keyword research, search term reviews, negative keyword management and competitor analysis
• Write and optimise ad copy, assets and extensions to improve relevance and Quality Score
• Review GA4, Google Ads and ecommerce/Shopify data to identify opportunities and issues, reconciling platform-reported conversions against actual sales
• Prepare clear monthly updates with insights, actions and next steps, including a blended cross-channel efficiency view
• Run regular account audits and proactive monitoring/alerting for anomalies such as tracking breaks, spend spikes and disapprovals
• Work with the web, design, SEO and account management teams to implement recommendations
• Support paid media audits and recommendations for new business opportunities where required
Required Skills and Qualifications
• At least 3 years experience managing Google Ads across multiple client accounts
• Strong hands-on expertise across Search, Performance Max, Shopping and Display
• Strong conversion tracking and measurement skills (Google Ads tags, Google Tag Manager, GA4)
• Experience with Google Merchant Center and product feed management
• Strong analytical skills with bidding, budget pacing and performance optimisation
• Experience with GA4, Google Ads Editor and Looker Studio (or similar reporting tools)
• Experience using AI tools to work faster and improve output quality
• Ability to diagnose performance issues and prioritise what matters
• Strong written English and clear communication skills
• Ability to work independently without constant direction
• Strong attention to detail
• Commercial understanding of how paid media supports leads, enquiries and sales
Nice to have
• Experience working with digital marketing agencies
• Experience with eCommerce and Shopify, plus Meta Ads or Microsoft Ads exposure
• Current Google Ads certifications (Search, Shopping/PMax, Measurement)
• Experience with scripts or automation for account management
• Experience with Australian clients
