JOB OVERVIEW

RFTN Refrigeration & HVAC — a Sydney air conditioning, refrigeration and ventilation business (commercial and residential), 30+ years in the trade. We need someone to help our internal estimating team with quantity takeoffs. That's the job: takeoffs off our drawings, clean and accurate.

What you'll do
- Quantity takeoffs fro ---------- chanical / HVAC drawings:
- Refrigerant + refrigeration pipework (copper runs + insulation)
- Sheet metal ductwork — supply / return / exhaust, main runs + fittings
- Ventilation + exhaust systems (fans, fresh-air)
- Grilles, diffusers, equipment + plant counts (FCUs, condensers, AHUs)
- Measure off the drawings and return clean, organised Excel takeoffs / material lists.
- Metric (Australian drawings).

Must have
- Reads mechanical / HVAC drawings confidently. Metric (m, m², kg).
- Takeoff experience — HVAC/mechanical ideal, or strong general construction takeoff.
- Bluebeam or PlanSwift + Excel.
- Good written English. Accurate over fast.

Nice to have
- HVAC estimating software (Trimble AutoBid, FastDUCT/FastPIPE, MagiCAD).
- Mechanical / refrigeration trade knowledge.

Pay
Paid per project. Starts with a paid trial (one takeoff). Ongoing work for the right person.
