**About Us**
Davis IT is a growing US-based Managed Service Provider (MSP) specializing in HIPAA-compliant IT services for medical practices and clinics across the United States. We focus on proactive support, strong cybersecurity, and keeping systems running smoothly so our clients can focus on patient care.
We are building out our overnight operations capability to handle critical after-hours work — especially patch management and alert monitoring — during the hours when our client offices are closed and cannot perform reboots or maintenance during the day.
**Position Overview**
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented professional to join us as an **Overnight IT Patch Management & Monitoring Specialist**.
This is primarily a **Tier 1 / 2 technical role** with two core focus areas:
- Performing patch management and system updates via our RMM platform during approved overnight maintenance windows
- Continuous monitoring and triage of alerts from RMM, cybersecurity, backup, and network platforms
You will also provide limited after-hours support, mainly through ticketing and internal escalation (direct client phone interaction is expected to be very infrequent).
**Important Working Hours Note**
This is a **night shift position** when viewed from the United States (US Central Time). You will be working while our US clients’ offices are closed.
Because of the time difference, for tea
**Working Style, Supervision & Probation**
You will be expected to work with a high degree of independence and minimal direct real-time supervision once you complete initial training and onboarding.
However, this role includes:
- A structured **probationary period** with active performance monitoring, quality reviews of documentation, and adherence to procedures.
- **Graduated system access** using a least-privilege model. You will not receive full administrative access immediately. Access will be expanded progressively as competency, reliability, and judgment are demonstrated.
- Clear expectations that success depends on strictly following documented SOPs and runbooks, maintaining excellent documentation, and escalating appropriately rather than making high-impact decisions independently.
This approach protects our clients’ sensitive healthcare environments while still allowing you to operate efficiently with autonomy.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute patch management: deploy Windows updates, security patches, and approved application updates using our primary RMM platform (Datto RMM) and related tools during designated overnight maintenance windows. Verify successful installation and perform approved reboots.
- Monitor and respond to alerts from RMM dashboards, cybersecurity tools (Guardz, CyberCNS, ThreatLocker, Sentinel One, etc.), backup systems, and network monitoring platforms.
- Triage alerts according to severity and follow established runbooks. Perform basic approved remediation or escalate following defined procedures.
- Maintain thorough, accurate documentation of all activities, i
- Prepare clear shift handover reports for the daytime team.
- Strictly follow change management processes and security/compliance procedures required in HIPAA-regulated environments.
- Provide limited after-hours support — primarily via ticketing and internal coordination (direct inbound client calls are rare).
**Requirements**
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills (all tickets, documentation, and team communication are in English).
- 2+ years of hands-on IT support, helpdesk, MSP, or NOC experience at Tier 1 or Tier 2 level.
- Experience with patch management and RMM tools (Datto RMM, ConnectWise Automate, Kaseya, or similar) is **strongly preferred**.
- Comfortable working independently, following detailed procedures, and maintaining high standards of documentation.
- Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet dedicated workspace, and a modern computer capable of running multiple monitoring and remote access tools.
- Availability for consistent shifts covering **US Central Time overnight hours** (core window approximately 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM CDT/CST or similar). We can discuss exact start/end times and days (typically 5 nights per week) during interviews.
- Must demonstrate reliability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and data security.
- MSP experience, healthcare IT background, or relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+) are advantages. Full training on our tools and processes will be provided.
**Schedule**
Full-time position (~40 hours per week). This is **night shift work from the US client perspective** and aligns with **daytime working hours locally in the Philippines**. We are flexible on precise start and end times within the overnight window as long as key patching and monitoring coverage is maintained. Exact schedule will be finalized during the interview process.
**Compensation & Benefits**
- Competitive hourly compensation based on experience (please state your expected hourly rate in USD in your application).
- Long-term, stable direct-hire opportunity with a professional US healthcare-focused MSP.
- Structured training on our RMM platform, security tools, documentation systems, and compliance processes.
- Fully remote work-from-home role.
- Supportive team with clear processes, escalation paths, and opportunities to develop skills in enterprise MSP tools.
**How to Apply**
Please apply through OnlineJobs.ph and include the following in your application or cover letter:
1. Confirmation of your availability for US Central Time overnight shifts (and your preferred/available hours if flexible).
2. Summary of your relevant IT experience, especially patch management, RMM tools, or alert monitoring work. Please list specific tools you have used.
3. Your expected hourly rate in USD.
4. Confirmation that you have (or can quickly set up) a quiet workspace with reliable high-speed internet and a capable computer.
5. A short statement on why you are interested in this independent overnight role supporting US medical practices.
We review applications promptly. Shortlisted candidates will be invited to an interview (video or chat) and may be asked to complete a brief practical scenario exercise focused on patching or alert handling.
We are looking for someone reliable who can work independently while following our processes and protecting our clients’ environments.
