Role Details
Title: Creative Strategist (Beauty DTC)
Scope: Performance creative for paid social, UGC, lifecycle, and landing pages
KPIs: ROAS/MER, CAC, CTR, CVR, thumbstop rate
Collaboration: Growth marketing, designers/editors, and UGC creators
Cadence: Fast test-and-learn cycles with structured experimentation
Location: Remote; flexible hours; full-time capacity (40 hrs/week)
Responsibilities
- Translate customer, product, and competitor insights into direct-response angles, hooks, and concepts built to win on paid social.
- Write high-converting scripts, briefs, and storyboards for short-form video and static creative, optimized for thumbstop and CTR.
- Build and own a structured testing roadmap across angles, formats, offers, and creative variables to improve CAC, ROAS/MER, CTR, and CVR.
- Analyze creative performance daily/weekly and turn results into clear hypotheses, prioritized iterations, and next tests.
- Lead end-to-end execution from concept through final asset delivery, ensuring speed, volume, and quality.
- Manage and direct editors and designers to produce high-volume iterations efficiently while maintaining platform-native best practices.
- Source, brief, and coach UGC creators; create shot lists that capture routines, textures, demonstrations, and social proof for beauty.
- Use AI tools for faster ideation and production support, including image and video generation where appropriate.
- Support landing page and advertorial iteration using CRO principles to improve add-to-cart and purchase conversion.
- Maintain a structured library of winning angles, claims, objections, and proof points, aligned with beauty ad policies and compliance.
- Communicate learnings via concise recaps, dashboards, and creative reviews to keep the team aligned and moving fast.
Must-Haves
- Proven performance marketing background focused on measurable outcomes, not only UGC or copywriting.
- Demonstrated success building performance creative for DTC, ideally beauty or personal care.
- Direct response expertise: strong hooks, offers, messaging, and persuasion frameworks tied to metrics.
- Strong data literacy and experimentation skills, translating CTR, CVR, CAC, ROAS/MER into actionable creative decisions.
- End-to-end ownership: able to independently take ideas from insight to testing to iteration at speed.
- Team leadership experience, including managing editors and guiding production workflows.
- Strong AI proficiency for creative acceleration, including image and video generation.
- Highly proactive and self-driven; able to test angles independently without waiting for detailed direction.
- Ability to produce fast, high-volume output without being repetitive or relying on the same patterns.
- Excellent written English and ability to operate effectively in a remote, flexible-hours setup.
- Geography preference: Europe or Latin America, with strong Western culture familiarity.
