The role

You're the person who makes sure the business actually runs. Right now almost everything depends on the founder - chasing people, checking work gets done, keeping deals moving, fixing problems. Your job is to take all of that off his plate. You'll run the day to day, manage the team, keep every deal and lead moving through the process, and handle the decisions so the founder can focus on clients, investors, and growth instead of running the floor.

In plain terms: if something needs doing, you make sure it gets done - by you or by the right person - without the founder having to ask.

What you'll do

Run the day to day
- Keep the whole operation moving and always know what's happening across the firm
- Be the first person the team comes to when they need something or are stuck
- Make the everyday calls so decisions don't pile up on the founder

Manage the team and their work
- Make sure everyone (analysts, interns, outreach, new hires) knows what they're working on and delivers on time
- Check that work is done to standard, and follow up when it isn't
- Run daily and weekly check-ins and keep people accountable

Keep deals and leads moving
- Track every deal and lead through each stage: outreach ? call ? signed ? materials ? investor outreach ? close
- Spot anything that's stalled and push it forward
- Make sure hand-offs actually happen (a booked call reaches the closer, a signed client reaches the analysts, and so on)

Build and run the systems
- Write down how we do things (SOPs) so the business isn't held together by memory
- Set up and maintain the tools and trackers (Slack, the portal, spreadsheets) that keep work organized
- Improve processes so the same work takes less effort over time

Report and keep things on track
- Track the key numbers (pipeline, deals, output, deadlines) and report on how the business is doing
- Flag risks and problems early
- Keep projects on schedule and driven to completion

What we're looking for

- 3+ years running operations, as a chief of staff, or in project/team management (startup or scaleup ideal)
- Extremely organized - you can hold the whole business in your head and keep it on track
- A natural manager who's comfortable directing a team and holding people to deadlines
- A problem-solver who takes ownership and doesn't wait to be told
- Comfortable with everyday tools and systems (Slack, CRMs, spreadsheets, simple automation)
- A clear communicator with strong judgment
- Trustworthy with the full picture of the business

Nice to have: finance or professional-services background; experience managing remote teams; comfort with tech and automation.
