JOB OVERVIEW

The Mortgage Shop is one of the top US mortgage brokerages specializing in investment property and short-term rental financing. We help real estate investors across the country fund their next deal. We're a small, supportive team that moves fast and takes care of our people.

About the role

You'll be the first voice our leads hear. You'll handle initial calls, answer common mortgage questions, guide clients toward the loan product that fits their goals, and get them started on their application. This is part client success, part inside sales: you keep people engaged, build trust, and move them forward. Mortgage knowledge (or the drive to learn it fast) is a must. We provide training on our products and process.

What you'll do

- Take initial calls with new leads and make a great first impression
- Answer common questions about our loan products and general guidelines
- Match clients to the loan type that fits their goals and send the application link
- Follow up with leads who've gone quiet and keep them moving toward applying
- Recognize high-value or complex deals and route them to our senior team
- Keep accurate, detailed notes in our CRM (GoHighLevel)

What we're looking for

- Clear, neutral English that's easy for US clients to understand on the phone (essential, most of your day is phone-based)
- 1+ year in phone-based sales, customer success, or appointment setting (experience with US clients is a big plus)
- Mortgage, real estate, or lending experience strongly preferred, or a proven fast learner who's excited to master it
- Confident, warm phone presence: you build rapport and handle objections without being pushy
- Organized and reliable with strong follow-through so no lead slips through the cracks
- Comfortable with CRMs; GoHighLevel experience a plus
- Reliable high-speed internet, a quiet workspace, a quality headset, and a backup power/internet plan

Schedule: Full-time, [US business hours — e.g., 9:00am–5:00pm Eastern]

**Pay:** $8.00/hour to start, with a pay increase after a 6-month performance review. This is a long-term role with room to grow.
