OVERVIEW
The number one goal of everyone on our team is to deliver an exceptional service and experience to our clients. The MSP Automation Engineer plays a critical role in achieving that by building the automation that lets our team scale, removing repetitive manual work, and standardizing how service is delivered across every client environment.
This is not a reactive helpdesk position. The Automation Engineer designs, builds, and maintains the workflows and integrations that connect our ticketing, RMM, identity, endpoint security, and compliance platforms so that routine work happens automatically, consistently, and without human error.
The work ranges from onboarding and offboarding automation and self-healing remediation to cross-platform integrations that eliminate swivel-chair work between tools. The right person treats automation as a product: documented, version-controlled, monitored, and continuously improved.
This position requires strong technical aptitude, a builder's mindset, and the ability to turn a manual process into a reliable, repeatable automation that the whole team can trust.

Design, build, and maintain automation workflows across the MSSP toolstack using platforms such as Rewst, n8n, Power Automate, and ImmyBot
Identify high-volume, repetitive manual tasks and convert them into reliable automated workflows
Build and maintain integrations between core platforms using REST APIs, webhooks, and the Microsoft Graph API
Develop automated onboarding and offboarding processes for user and client lifecycle events, spanning identity, endpoint, and device management
Implement self-healing and automated remediation for common endpoint and security alert conditions
Standardize software deployment, patching, and configuration baselines across device management platforms
Write and maintain supporting scripts (PowerShell preferred) where no-code or low-code tooling is not enough
PLATFORM INTEGRATION & DATA FLOW

Ticketing / PSA: Pylon (system of record), HaloPSA (contracts and billing)
Project management: Linear
Endpoint security: CrowdStrike with Flight Control (multi-tenant), ThreatLocker, Senteo
Identity: Okta, Beyond Identity, Keeper
Network: Cato Networks, FortiGate, Island Enterprise Browser
Device management: NinjaOne, Addigy, Intune, Apple Business Manager
Compliance / GRC: Vanta, Drata
Map data between systems so records stay accurate and synchronized without manual entry

Troubleshoot broken integrations and failed automation runs quickly and at the root cause
AUTOMATION GOVERNANCE & QUALITY
Treat every automation as a maintained asset: documented, version-controlled, and monitored
Build logging, alerting, and failure notifications into workflows so problems surface early
Test automations thoroughly before production release and roll back safely when needed
Maintain a clear inventory of all active automations, their purpose, and their owners
DOCUMENTATION & ENABLEMENT
