Job Title: Accounting Sourcer (US EST Hours, 3-Month Contract)
Compensation: $6 USD/hour
Contract Length: 3 months
About the Role
We are hiring Accounting Sourcers to support HTD Talent's upcoming tax busy season needs. This is a 3-month contract role focused on sourcing and screening high-quality accounting candidates for U.S.-based roles.
This role will support high-volume accounting searches, especially candidates with Top 25 public accounting experience at the senior and manager levels. The sourcer will help identify qualified candidates, confirm basic fit, and move strong candidates forward to the recruiting team.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting Candidate Sourcing
• Source candidates for U.S.-based accounting roles, especially senior and manager-level roles.
• Focus on candidates with Top 25 public accounting experience, tax experience, and relevant accounting backgrounds.
• Use LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, resume databases, and other sourcing tools to identify potential candidates.
• Build and refine Boolean and keyword search strings for accounting, audit, tax, senior accountant, tax senior, tax manager, and related roles.
• Use outreach templates to message potential candidates and generate interest.
2. Candidate Screening
• Review candidate profiles and resumes to confirm relevant accounting, tax, audit, or public accounting experience.
• Confirm candidate level, including senior, supervisor, manager, or equivalent experience.
• Screen for basic role fit, work eligibility, location, availability, compensation expectations, and interest level.
• Identify candidates who are qualified, professional, and ready for recruiter follow-up.
• Flag low-quality, mismatched, incomplete, or potentially fraudulent profiles.
3. Coordination and Reporting
• Maintain organized candidate pipelines and status tracking.
• Follow sourcing playbooks, outreach templates, and screening instructions.
• Provide daily updates on outreach activity, responses, qualified candidates, and candidates progressed.
• Coordinate with recruiters and internal tea
• Ensure notes are clear, accurate, and updated in the tracker or ATS.
Required Qualifications
• Must be available to work Eastern Standard Time hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST.
• Experience sourcing or recruiting for U.S.-based accounting, finance, tax, audit, or professional services roles.
• Ability to identify candidates with Top 25 public accounting experience at senior and manager levels.
• Hands-on experience using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar sourcing platforms.
• Strong ability to evaluate accounting resumes and identify relevant experience quickly.
• Strong written English communication skills for outreach and candidate screening.
• Comfortable working independently while following structured, repeatable processes.
• Reliable high-speed internet connection that can support Zoom calls without lag.
• Professional home workstation setup with camera and audio suitable for remote work.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience supporting U.S. staffing agencies, accounting firms, or outsourced recruiting teams.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS), especially Bullhorn.
• Experience sourcing tax seniors, tax managers, audit seniors, audit managers, senior accountants, accounting managers, or similar roles.
• Understanding of U.S. accounting titles, public accounting backgrounds, busy season hiring, and candidate qualification standards.
