Type: Contract-to-hire (trial task, then part-time contract, ramping to full-time)

About Localize
Localize is a mobile app that helps people find local farms, farmers markets, and fresh food near them. We're currently doing 75 million views a month and are one of the fastest-growing mobile apps of 2026. We produce a steady stream of short-form video, including green screen explainers, food and farm content, and more across social, and we're looking for an editor to own the editing side of that pipeline so our creators can focus on filming.

What you'll do
You'll take finished scripts and raw footage and turn them into clean, ready-to-post short-form videos. The script and the filming are already done, so your job is the edit.

Cut and assemble green screen videos and similar short-form formats
Drop in simple, relevant B-roll that supports what's being said on screen
Keep pacing tight and visuals clear and easy to follow
Deliver edits ready to publish across short-form platforms (TikTok, Reels, Shorts, etc.)

All content is short-form. We want simple, clear, clean visuals. That's the whole brief. Specifically:
Yes: straightforward cuts, well-chosen B-roll, clean and readable
No: heavy animation, flashy transitions, loud sound effects, or AI-generated media

If your instinct is to keep an edit clean and let the content carry it, you'll fit right in.

What we're looking for
Experience editing short-form video, ideally with a track record of content that performed
Reliable, fast turnaround and easy to work with
Comfort working from a provided script and footage
