We are a family-owned monument and memorial business in the United States. We help families with cemetery memorials, headstones, monuments, and related appointments.
We are looking for a part-time appointment setter / warm lead caller for approximately 15–20 hours per week.
This is an outbound calling role, but it is not a high-pressure sales job. We are not looking for someone aggressive. We need someone who sounds natural, patient, professional, respectful, and trustworthy on the phone.
Some people may be older, busy, emotional, or not ready to talk. The right person must be able to have a respectful conversation, ask simple questions, handle objections politely, and help set appointments for our memorial specialist when there is real interest.
This is a separate outbound calling and appointment-setting role. It is not the same as an office coordinator/admin position.
Main Responsibilities:
You will help with:
- Making outbound calls to company-provided leads
- Following up with people who may need monument, headstone, or cemetery memorial help
- Calling past leads, old quotes, cemetery leads, or other company-provided lists
- Asking simple qualifying questions
- Setting appointments for our memorial specialist
- Leaving professional voi
- Taking clear call notes
- Updating a call tracker, spreadsheet, or CRM
- Marking call outcomes accurately
- Following a respectful script while still sounding natural
- Handling basic objections politely
- Escalating interested or sensitive situations to our team
The Right Person:
We are looking for someone who is:
- Clear and easy to understand on the phone
- Warm, calm, and respectful
- Confident but not pushy
- Comfortable making outbound calls
- Good with older customers
- Able to handle rejection without sounding discouraged
- Organized with notes and follow-up
- Reliable during scheduled hours
- Comfortable using scripts, spreadsheets, and call trackers
- Comfortable starting part-time
Required Skills:
- Excellent spoken English
- Phone support or outbound calling experience
- Appointment-setting experience preferred
- Customer service experience
- Ability to take clear notes
- Google Sheets or Excel
- Reliable internet
- Quiet work environment
- Backup internet or power preferred
Bonus Experience:
Please mention if you have experience with any of these:
- Appointment setting
- Cold calling
- Warm lead calling
- Real estate ISA work
- Insurance appointment setting
- Home services calling
- Healthcare or senior customer service
- Funeral home, cemetery, or memorial-related work
- Calling U.S. customers
- Handling objections
- CRM or call-tracking tools
Schedule:
15–20 hours per week.
Calls will be made during U.S. Central Time business hours. Exact schedule can be discussed, but availability during weekday U.S. daytime hours is important. Morning availability in Central Time is preferred.
Pay:
Pay depends on experience, phone quality, schedule, and performance.
Please include your desired hourly rate in your application.
There may also be an opportunity for performance bonuses after a successful trial period.
Application Instructions:
To apply, please reply with the word CALLER at the top of your message.
Then answer these questions:
1. Are you available to work 15–20 hours per week during U.S. Central Time business hours?
2. What is your desired hourly rate?
3. Describe your outbound calling, appointment-setting, cold-calling, or phone support experience.
4. What types of leads or customers have you called before?
5. Tell us about a time you handled rejection or an upset person on the phone.
6. What is your internet speed, and do you have backup internet or power?
Voice Recording Requirement:
Please send a short voice recording reading the sample script below.
“Hi, this is [your name] calling on behalf of our local family-owned memorial office. I’m not calling with anything urgent. I’m reaching out because we help families with cemetery memorials, headstones, monuments, and memorial planning, and I wanted to see if this is something your family may need help with now or in the future.”
The recording does not need to be perfect. We are mainly listening for clear English, a calm phone voice, and a natural, respectful tone.
Please do not send a generic application. We are looking for someone respectful, clear, dependable, and comfortable speaking with families in a professional way.
