The Role
You will work directly with founders and engineering to design and ship mobile products. You will own end-to-end design from concept through launch, simplify complex workflows into intuitive experiences.
This role is for someone who thinks like a product builder, not just a designer.

Responsibilities

Product and Experience Design
• Own end-to-end design for key user journeys from concept through launch
• Transform complex financial workflows into intuitive experiences across web and mobile
• Design user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity interfaces
• Simplify onboarding, portfolio management, trading, compliance, and related workflows
• Contribute to product strategy and user value beyond individual screens

Design Systems and UI
• Create and maintain design systems, component libraries, and standards
• Ensure consistency across products and platforms
• Design interaction states, responsive behavior, and micro-interactions
• Apply accessibility standards and usability best practices

Collaboration
• Work directly with founder and engineering teams
• Deliver developer-ready specifications
• Partner on implementation quality
• Balance user experience, technical feasibility, and business goals

Modern Tools and Workflows
• Use Figma for all design work (Auto Layout, Components, Variants, Variables, Tokens)
• Leverage AI-assisted workflows (Claude Code, Codex, v0, Cursor) for prototyping and documentation
• Learn modern product-building and agentic workflows

Requirements
Core Skills
• Strong portfolio showing real product work and end-to-end UX thinking
• Proven experience designing modern web and mobile applications
• Advanced Figma proficiency including prototyping and developer handoff
• Deep understanding of UI/UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and responsive design
• Expertise in design systems, accessibility standards, and scalable design
• Ability to simplify complex workflows
• Clear communication skills

Technical Understanding
• Working knowledge of front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Understanding of responsive design and mobile-first thinking
• Ability to collaborate effectively with engineers
• Familiarity with analytics and iterative product development

Nice to Have
• Startup or high-growth experience
• Motion design and micro-interaction expertise
• Conversion optimization and product analytics experience
• Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows (Claude Code, Cursor, v0)
• Experience with financial, marketplace, or trust-based products
