JOB OVERVIEW

**YouTube Video Editor (Children's Family Channel)**

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented YouTube Video Editor to help grow and elevate an existing children's YouTube channel.

The ideal candidate can match our current editing style while also bringing fresh ideas to improve engagement, retention, and overall production quality.

### Responsibilities

* Edit raw video footage into engaging YouTube videos
* Add cuts, transitions, zooms, sound effects, and visual effects
* Insert and maintain our existing branded intro and outro
* Create eye-catching, high-click-through-rate thumbnails
* Add music, text overlays, callouts, captions, and motion graphics when appropriate
* Combine and merge multiple clips into a cohesive final video
* Remove mistakes, pauses, background distractions, and unnecessary footage
* Maintain consistent branding across all videos
* Suggest creative improvements to increase viewer retention and watch time
* Organize project files and deliver videos according to schedule

### Requirements

* Previous YouTube editing experience
* Strong understanding of audience retention and pacing
* Experience editing family, children's, educational, toy, craft, lifestyle, or entertainment content preferred
* Ability to create professional thumbnails
* Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut, or equivalent software
* Ability to follow existing brand guidelines while enhancing overall quality
* Reliable communication and ability to meet deadlines

### Nice to Have

* Motion graphics experience
* Sound design experience
* Knowledge of YouTube SEO and viewer retention strategies
* Experience working with children's content

### Deliverables

For each video:

* Fully edited YouTube video
* Thumbnail design
* Intro and outro integration
* Sound effects and visual enhancements
* Exported file ready for upload
