The Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced accounting professional to support ERP and accounting system migrations for high-growth US companies.
This is not primarily a software configuration role. It is a hands-on accounting and financial data migration role where you will be responsible for moving historical financial information from legacy accounting platforms into a modern ERP system.
Your work will directly determine whether each migration is accurate, complete, and ready for go-live.
You will work with real financial data, collaborate with US-based finance teams, and take ownership of ensuring that every balance, transaction, account, vendor, and reporting field is transferred correctly.
What You’ll Do
• Extract historical financial data from accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, and similar platforms
• Clean, organize, and map financial data to the new general ledger, chart of accounts, entity, and reporting structure
• Prepare and execute journal entry, trial balance, and historical transaction uploads
• Map accounts, vendors, customers, departments, entities, and other relevant accounting fields
• Upload and validate bills, invoices, contracts, and supporting schedules
• Reconcile financial data between the legacy accounting system and the new ERP
• Perform detailed reconciliations across cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, and other key accounts
• Compare opening balances in the new system against closing balances in the source system
• Identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies before go-live
• Collaborate with internal implementation teams and US-based finance stakeholders
• Document migration processes and contribute to SOPs, quality standards, and reusable workflows
• Support multiple migration projects while maintaining strong accuracy and ownership
What We’re Looking For
Required Experience
• 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience
• Strong end-to-end accounting knowledge across general ledger, AP, AR, reconciliations, month-end close, and financial reporting
• Fluency in US GAAP
• Direct experience working with US-based companies or US accounting teams
• Strong reconciliation experience, including investigating and resolving complex discrepancies
• Proficiency in at least one major accounting platform such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or a comparable ERP
• Exceptional attention to detail and high standards for financial data accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities with minimal oversight
Strongly Preferred
• Direct experience with ERP or accounting system migrations
• Hands-on exposure to financial data extraction, mapping, cleanup, validation, and reconciliation
• Experience supporting companies as they transition from one accounting platform to another
• Background in a CPA firm, bookkeeping firm, outsourced accounting company, or ERP implementation environment
• Experience working with large transaction volumes or multi-entity accounting
• Familiarity with SaaS accounting concepts such as ASC 606, deferred revenue, ARR, MRR, and revenue waterfalls
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent accounting certification
Who Will Thrive in This Role
• You are someone who takes full ownership of the numbers.
• When a balance does not match, you do not stop at identifying the problem - you investigate the root cause and resolve it. • • You are comfortable working with complex datasets, imperfect historical information, and high-stakes timelines.
• You bring structure to ambiguity, communicate clearly with finance stakeholders, and take pride in producing work that others can trust.
• You move with urgency, but never at the expense of accuracy.
