The Opportunity

We are looking for an Senior Accounting Systems Specialist to support ERP implementation and accounting system migration projects for US-based companies.

This role combines accounting expertise with financial systems knowledge. You will help ensure that accounting data is accurately transferred, validated, and reconciled as companies move from legacy accounting platforms to modern ERP systems.

You will partner closely with finance teams, implementation stakeholders, and internal project teams to ensure successful system transitions and high-quality financial data.

What You'll Do

• Support accounting system implementation and migration projects
• Analyze historical financial data and prepare it for migration into a new ERP
• Review and validate chart of accounts, entities, customers, vendors, departments, and other accounting dimensions
• Prepare journal entries, trial balances, opening balances, and historical transaction uploads
• Reconcile balances between source systems and target ERP platforms
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies identified during migration and validation activities
• Perform detailed account reconciliations across cash, AP, AR, prepaid expenses, deferred revenue, fixed assets, and other balance sheet accounts
• Validate migrated financial information to ensure completeness and accuracy
• Collaborate with implementation teams and US-based finance stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
• Maintain documentation for migration processes, testing procedures, and reconciliation activities
• Support multiple concurrent implementation projects while maintaining quality and accuracy
• Identify opportunities to improve migration workflows, controls, and data quality processes

What We're Looking For

Required Experience

• 5-7 years of hands-on accounting experience
• 1+ years of US GAAP experience
• Experience working in accounting, bookkeeping, financial operations, or accounting systems environments
• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, AP, AR, and month-end close processes
• Experience supporting accounting system implementations, ERP migrations, or financial data projects
• Strong reconciliation skills and ability to investigate large-volume financial data discrepancies
• Experience working with US-based clients, finance teams, or accounting operations
• Strong understanding of US GAAP principles and accounting best practices
• Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, Sage, or similar ERP platforms
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Strongly Preferred

• Direct ERP implementation or accounting system migration experience
• Experience with financial data extraction, transformation, validation, and reconciliation
• Client-facing experience supporting finance or accounting projects
• Background in outsourced accounting, CPA firms, bookkeeping firms, ERP consulting firms, or SaaS companies
• Experience working with large datasets and high-volume transactions
• Familiarity with SaaS accounting concepts including deferred revenue and ASC 606
• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• CPA or equivalent accounting certification
