We are seeking a Bookkeeper and Admin Assistant who can wear both hats comfortably in the healthcare startup environment, with a little bit of extra flavour along with the job. You will manage our financial records while keeping the everyday gears of the business turning smoothly.
The role starts at 2 to 3 days per week, building toward full-time as the organisation grows. We are looking for the right person to grow with us.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Bookkeeping & Finance
> Manage day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero: invoicing, reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable
> Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) accurately and on time
> Maintain clean, audit-ready financial records aligned with compliance requirements
> Liaise with our Managing Director as needed
Administration
> Support scheduling, correspondence, document management, and general admin tasks
> Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners on operational matters
> Maintain organised filing systems, digital and physical where applicable
> Assist with administrative automation processes
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
> Proven bookkeeping experience with strong hands-on proficiency in Xero
> Demonstrated experience lodging BAS statements
> Solid general administration experience: organised, reliable, and responsive
> Excellent written and verbal English communication
NICE TO HAVE'S
> Familiarity with Claude by Anthropic, or hands-on experience AI integrations
> Background in startups, or similarly fast-moving environments
