Position Summary

The Carrier Sales Representative is responsible for developing and managing relationships with trucking companies, securing capacity for customer freight, and ensuring successful load execution. This role requires strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities

-Source, negotiate, and secure transportation capacity for customer shipments.
-Build and maintain relationships with carrier partners across multiple modes of transportation.
-Negotiate rates while balancing profitability and service expectations.
-Track and manage shipments from pickup through delivery, proactively addressing any service issues.
-Monitor market conditions and carrier availability to provide competitive transportation solutions.
-Communicate effectively with carriers, customers, and internal teams regarding shipment status and updates.
-Identify and onboard new carrier partners while ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
-Maintain accurate records within the transportation management system (TMS).
-Meet or exceed individual and team performance goals.

Qualifications Required

*Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
*Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment.
*Proficiency with Microsoft Office and general computer applications.
*Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.


Preferred
*Intermediate or fluent in English is a real big plus
*1+ years of experience in freight brokerage, carrier sales, logistics, transportation, or a related field.
*Experience using transportation management systems (TMS) and load boards.
*Knowledge of truckload, LTL, and transportation market dynamics.
