U.S. based, metal recycling entity with multiple locations, is seeking a seasoned, detail-oriented Accountant who thrives in a dynamic environment.
This is a FULL TIME (40 hours per week ; 8 hours per day), remote position based on PST hours (Pacific Standard Time) of 6/7am-2/3pm (overnight in Philippines). We love our present team and have been blessed with remarkable staff members both in the Philippines as well as in the U.S. and hope to expand our team as our needs are growing daily. About the Role
You will serve as a key member of our finance team, supporting leadership with accurate financial management. Our ideal candidate has successfully handled intercompany transactions, multi-location reconciliations, and the full spectrum of accounting duties in a growing business.
Key Responsibilities
Must be proficient in QuickBooks Online.
Must be able to calculate and track interest on loans, lines of credit, and financing facilities.
Manage full-cycle accounting, including general ledger, financial statement preparation, reconciliations, and month-end close.
Handle intercompany balances and transactions across multiple locations and related entities with precision. Intercompany accounting skills, accounting inbox management, inventory or manufacturing accounting is a plus.
Prepare management reports, variance analysis, and lender-required documentation.
Ensure compliance with tax requirements, GAAP, and internal controls (including segregation of duties).
Support process improvements, SOP development, and cross-functional collaboration with internal teams.
Reconcile bank accounts, vendor/customer activity, and multi-site financial data.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Any experience with excel pivot tables, vookup/xlookup, index/match would be a plus.
Demonstrated success managing intercompany accounts and multi-location operations.
Strong proficiency with Excel (advanced formulas, data validation, reconciliations) and accounting systems.
Solid understanding of financial reporting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, and internal controls.
High attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with a small, tight-knit leadership team.
CPA, CMA, or similar certification is a plus but not required — real-world capability matters most.
