JOB OVERVIEW

TAG Agency is a marketing agency based in Upstate New York. We manage websites, Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, and digital marketing campaigns for more than 70 clients across industries including healthcare, automotive, home services, construction, retail, and professional services.

We're looking for a long-term tea ---------- mber who can help us build high-performing WordPress websites for local businesses.

This is not a highly technical development position. We are not building SaaS platforms or custom web applications.

Instead, we build websites that help local businesses generate leads and rank in Google.

What You'll Do

You will be responsible for designing, building, and launching WordPress websites using Elementor.

Projects may include:

Tree Service websites
Roofing companies
HVAC contractors
Spray foam insulation companies
Auto dealerships
Medical providers
Retail businesses
Local service companies

A successful website for us is:

Visually appealing
Fast loading
Mobile friendly
Easy to navigate
Built with strong local SEO principles
Structured to generate leads
Responsibilities
Build WordPress websites using Elementor
Design clean, modern page layouts
Create and expand service pages
Create city/location pages when appropriate
Build project portfolio and gallery sections
Organize navigation and internal linking
Optimize images and media
Add on-page SEO elements
Implement schema markup
Create page content using client materials, AI tools, and research when needed
Ensure websites are responsive on all devices
Maintain site speed and performance standards
What We're Looking For

Required:

Strong WordPress experience
Strong Elementor experience
Understanding of local SEO
Ability to create content structures that rank locally
Good design sense
Strong attention to detail
Excellent written English
Ability to work independently

Bonus Skills:

Local SEO experience
Rank Math or Yoast experience
Schema implementation
Google Business Profile knowledge
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO)
Basic graphic design
Basic image editing

We are not looking for someone who simply installs a theme and changes colors.

We are looking for someone who understands how local businesses win online.

For example, if we're building a Tree Service website, we'd expect you to understand:

Service pages
Sub-service pages
Location pages
Project galleries
Internal linking
Image optimization
Schema opportunities
Lead generation best practices

AI can help create content, but we need someone who can use judgment, context, and experience to build websites that actually perform.
