We run a faceless YouTube channel explaining how businesses and money work, in a simple hand-drawn doodle style — a rough stick-figure host, sketched arrows/charts/objects that pop onto a white screen one at a time, timed to a voiceover. Think clean, fast, witty "doodle explainer." NOT polished corporate motion graphics, and NOT a static slideshow.
We provide finished scripts and professional voiceovers. We need a reliable editor to turn each script + VO into a finished 11–14 minute video.
What you'll do
- Sketch/assemble simple doodle elements (a consistent stick-figure host + props, arrows, objects) in our style.
- Time them to "draw on / pop in" exactly on the voiceover — dynamic pacing (fast 1–2s for lists, slower 3–5s for key points), nothing static.
- Drop in clean charts (we generate many via AI tools) and screenshots (headlines, tweets), framed lightly in the doodle style.
- Add on-screen text, burned-in captions, royalty-free music and subtle SFX.
- Deliver the longform + a few short vertical cut-downs (Shorts) from the same assets.
You must have
- Experience with doodle / whiteboard / explainer-style editing (the hand-drawn "draw-on" look).
- Strong sense of timing — syncing visuals tightly to a voiceover, keeping it dynamic.
- A portfolio showing explainer/doodle/whiteboard work.
- Ability to keep a consistent character and style across a long video.
- Use only licensed/royalty-free music and assets (no copyrighted clips/music).
- Reliable deadlines, clear written English.
Nice to have (NOT required)
- Integrating short real video clips (interviews, b-roll) — optional, we mostly don't use these.
- Finance/business or data-visualization editing.
- Your own licensed music/SFX library.
Hours & pay
- Per-video to start, growing into steady weekly work as we scale (we publish frequently).
- Pay: [SET RATE — see internal note].
Paid test
- Shortlisted editors are paid to produce one short test segment from our script + VO, so we can see your style, timing, and consistency before committing.
