JOB OVERVIEW

Who We Are
BTS Brands is an 8-year-old private label company selling across US, CA, UK, EU, AU, JP and expanding into Saudi Arabia. We operate across two brands - one in the travel accessories category and one in beauty devices - with 52+ active SKUs.

We're not a startup figuring things out - we have systems, a team, and a clear direction. What we need now is someone senior who can take full ownership of product development for one of our brands while we scale.

The Role
This is not a VA role. This is a specialist position for someone who has done this before and can work independently.
You will own the full product lifecycle for one brand: from identifying opportunities, to negotiating with Chinese suppliers on WeChat, to making sure samples, timelines, packaging, and user manuals are all on track before launch. You'll also do product research for our second brand.
You'll work closely with our marketing and design team, and report directly to the owner.

What You'll Do Daily:
- Conduct product research across Amazon marketplaces (US/CA/UK/EU/AU/JP)
- Analyze competition, demand, pricing, and profitability (ROI, FBA fees, net margin)
- Communicate directly with Chinese suppliers via WeChat - negotiate pricing, MOQs, timelines
- Request and evaluate samples, coordinate quality checks
- Monitor production timelines and flag delays before they become problems
- Review packaging and user manuals for compliance (not copy, just accuracy)
- Calculate profitability at every stage before committing to a launch
- Collaborate with marketing and graphic design teams on launch prep
- Report weekly with recommendations and progress updates

Tools You Must Know:
- Helium 10 (Cerebro, Black Box, Xray, Keyword Tracker)
- Keepa - price history, trends, seasonality
- Amazon Seller Central - BSR, sales data interpretation
- Alibaba + WeChat - supplier sourcing and negotiation
- Google Sheets / Excel - ROI models, dashboards, profitability trackers
- Jungle Scout - a plus

Who We're Looking For:
- 3–5 years experience in Amazon Private Label product development and sourcing
- You've negotiated directly with Chinese suppliers - not just browsed Alibaba
- You think in numbers: margins, costs, lead times, risks
- You communicate clearly in English, written and verbal
- You're organized and proactive - you chase timelines, you don't wait to be chased
- You want a long-term role with room to grow, not a short contract

Compensation & Setup:
- $1,000–$1,400/month based on experience
- Full-time, 40h/week
- 14 days paid leave after 3 months
- First 3 months: time-tracked via Time Doctor (removed after we establish trust)
- Long-term position - We Invest in People Who Invest in Us

Important
This role is for one of our brands that currently has no team. You'll be building from the ground up with clear direction from ownership. If you need someone to micromanage your daily tasks, this isn't the right fit. If you thrive with clear objectives and autonomy, keep reading.

To Apply - Required
Answer these 4 questions. Applications without answers will not be considered:

1. Describe a product you sourced from a Chinese supplier, how did you find them, how did you negotiate, and what was the final outcome? Include the platform you used to find them (Alibaba, WeChat, trade show etc.), the MOQ you negotiated, and one specific thing that almost went wrong. Do not describe what you would do - describe what you actually did.
2. Walk me through your evaluation process for a Private Label product - what metrics matter most to you, what makes you say no, and what makes you say yes? Give a real example without naming the product. What's your process, not your tools.
3. What tools do you use daily for Amazon product research, and rate your confidence in each from 1 to 10. For the tool you rated highest - walk me through one specific thing you do in it that most people skip or don't know about.
4. What's the biggest mistake you've seen (or made) in product development, and what did you change after? Be specific.
