**Shopify Store Builder and Product Listing Manager | GMC Approval and Ongoing Catalog Management**

We are launching a new ecommerce store and we need someone who can build it the right way from the start. Not just a good looking store but one that is structured correctly to get approved by Google Merchant Center so we can start selling through Google Shopping. Once the store is live and approved the role shifts into ongoing catalog management where you will be adding products and keeping everything accurate and up to date every single day.
This is a long term full time role. The right person will own this store from build to approval to daily operations.

**Phase one — Building the store**
You will build our Shopify store from scratch. That means setting up the theme, homepage, collections, navigation, product pages, and all the essential pages like about, contact, refund policy, privacy policy, and terms of service. Everything needs to be clean, mobile friendly, and on brand for a home decor audience.
More importantly everything needs to be structured correctly for Google Merchant Center from day one. That means accurate product titles, descriptions, images, pricing, GTINs, and all required attributes. Shipping and return policies need to meet GMC requirements. The store needs to pass GMC review without issues.
You will also set up the Google Merchant Center account, connect it to Shopify, configure the product feed, and make sure everything syncs correctly and cleanly.

**Phase two — Ongoing catalog management**
Once the store is live and GMC approved the role becomes about keeping the catalog growing and accurate. You will be adding new products regularly, updating existing listings, maintaining image quality, and making sure nothing falls out of GMC compliance over time. We expect around 50 products processed within a 2.5 hour window at a consistently high standard.
You will also build out new collection pages and theme sections as the catalog grows, run regular audits to catch errors or disapprovals before they become problems, and keep inventory levels accurate and organized.

**What we need from you**
You have built a Shopify store from scratch before and you understand what it takes to get it right the first time. You know Google Merchant Center inside and out. You know what causes disapprovals, how to fix them, and how to structure a store so it passes review cleanly. You are fast and accurate with product listings. Speed without accuracy does not work in this role. You have a strong eye for visual detail. You care about how the store looks and you can tell when something feels off brand. You use AI tools like Gemini and ChatGPT daily to speed up your workflow without sacrificing quality. You can work independently once you understand our standards.

**Experience that will move you to the top of the list**
You have successfully gotten a Shopify store approved on Google Merchant Center before. You have managed a large product catalog with hundreds of SKUs. You have experience using Gemini specifically for generating product images that feel consistent and branded rather than generic or stock looking. You have used Kopy or a similar tool for writing and optimizing product listings. Home decor, beauty, health, or lifestyle brand experience is a strong plus.

We will onboard you into our brand standards, product requirements, and what good looks like for us. After that you own the store completely from the technical setup to the daily listing work. We have high standards but we do not micromanage. We expect clean work, consistent output, and clear communication.

If you have gotten a store approved on Google Merchant Center tell us about that specifically — what you set up, what issues came up, and how you resolved them. Share examples of product listings you have created or optimized. Tell us how many products you can list per hour at a high standard. Tell us which AI tools you use and how you use them. If you have used Gemini for product image generation tell us about that.
