JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role

We are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and dependable Accountant to join a fast-growing remote team. This position plays an important role in supporting day-to-day financial operations, including payroll support, bookkeeping, reconciliations, commission tracking, and financial reporting.

The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, trustworthy, and capable of managing sensitive financial data with a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Experience supporting US-based companies and remote teams is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities
Process payroll accurately and in a timely manner
Calculate commissions, bonuses, deductions, and payroll adjustments
Maintain and reconcile payroll records, financial reports, and ledgers
Assist with bookkeeping, account maintenance, and journal entries
Support month-end reconciliation and reporting processes
Coordinate with operations and leadership regarding payroll-related concerns and updates
Help ensure compliance with payroll procedures and financial documentation standards
Identify discrepancies and resolve accounting or payroll-related issues efficiently
Support ongoing process improvement and financial organization initiatives
Assist with profitability tracking and operational financial reporting
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
CPA certification is highly preferred
Proven experience in accounting, bookkeeping, and payroll support
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reconciliation
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally
Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote environment
Positive attitude with a problem-solving mindset
Preferred Experience

Experience with one or more of the following platforms is a plus:

QuickBooks
Gusto
Wise
Online banking platforms
Payroll and commission tracking systems
Other accounting or bookkeeping software
