We are a fast-growing, UAE-based e-commerce company specializing in high-quality health and wellness products, specifically peptides. We operate across Shopify and WooCommerce platforms, managing high transaction volumes and international supply chains.
We are looking for a versatile Accountant and Bookkeeper who is also happy to step outside of the spreadsheets. While keeping our books spotless is your primary focus, you will also wear a few different hats, helping with general administrative tasks and customer support during your quieter hours.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Core Accounting and Bookkeeping (Primary Focus)
- Maintain accurate, clean daily ledgers in Zoho Books.
- Reconcile daily sales, payouts, refunds, and chargebacks from Shopify and WooCommerce.
- Match payouts from Stripe, PayPal, and local UAE payment processors against bank deposits.
- Monitor inventory levels and accurately track Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
- Assist with tracking data for UAE VAT (5%) reporting.
Admin and Customer Support (During Free Time / Downtime)
- Customer Care: Respond to customer inquiries via
- Order Management: Assist with processing returns, exchanges, or tracking down delayed shipments in the Shopify/WooCommerce backend.
- General Admin: Help with basic data entry, updating operational sheets, and handling administrative tasks to keep the business running smoothly.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Experience: 2+ years of bookkeeping/accounting experience specifically for e-commerce brands.
- Core Software: Advanced proficiency in Zoho Books (mandatory) and navigating Shopify/WooCommerce backends.
- Communication: Flawless written English with a polite, empathetic tone for handling customer support.
- Traits: Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable switching gears from data analysis to customer service.
- Tech Setup: Reliable, high-speed internet connection with a backup power/internet solution.
Note on Work Hours: This is a mid-shift for the Philippines (1:00 PM to 10:00 PM PHT). You get to collaborate with our UAE team during normal business hours without working standard graveyard shifts.
