This is a chance to do high-grade finance work for some of the most exciting growth companies in the CPG and DTC space. You will sit close to the founders and operators building category-defining brands, owning the financial data, the modeling, and the analysis that shape how they plan, allocate capital, and scale.
It is a senior, hands-on role for someone who takes real ownership of the numbers and keeps them clean, current, and decision-ready week to week. You should be equally comfortable building a three-statement model from scratch and tracing the margin implications of a new vendor contract, and you should get energy from seeing your work drive real decisions across a portfolio of brands.
1. Financial Data, Reporting, and Margins
• Own weekly financial data management across the portfolio, tracking performance and margins, not just the monthly close, so the numbers stay reliable enough to act on at any point in the cycle.
• Ensure data integrity by working closely with our accounting and controllership teams on reconciliations and month-end close outputs, owning the reporting cadence end to end.
• Develop and manage KPI dashboards, executive reporting packages, and board-ready materials.
• Drive the detail underneath the numbers: unit economics, margin analysis, and demand planning, so the CFO can point to where margin is leaking and where it can be recovered.
2. Planning, Forecasting, and Modeling
• Run planning cycles end to end: annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and ongoing variance analysis across a portfolio of clients.
• Build and maintain dynamic 1, 3, and 5-year models, including three-statement models, scenario analyses, and sensitivity tables.
• Translate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-finance stakeholders.
3. CFO Pod Support and Client Coverage
• Serve as the primary analytical partner to Client CFOs across multiple engagements.
• Prepare materials and analysis ahead of board meetings, investor calls, and strategic planning sessions.
• Support client meetings alongside the CFO, and over time step into functional conversations with heads of marketing, supply chain, and operations as trust is built.
• Provide guidance and decision support on commercial questions including pricing, channel mix, inventory planning, and vendor terms.
4. Capital Markets and Strategic Support
• Support fundraising and M&A processes by building investor materials, data rooms, credit packs, and diligence support.
• Assist with capital allocation scenarios, cash runway planning, and lender and investor reporting packages.
What we're looking for:
Candidates must be comfortable working directly with CFOs and supporting multiple client engagements
• 6 to 8 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial operations, or corporate finance, with a track record of owning planning cycles and recurring reporting end to end.
• Senior FP&A or controllership-trained background. You are as comfortable with the integrity of the underlying data as with the model built on top of it.
• Prior experience in a multi-client or portfolio support role (fractional, consulting, PE operating, or multi-entity environment) is strongly preferred.
• Deep understanding of consumer business models including DTC, retail, omnichannel, and wholesale.
• Advanced financial modeling skills, including multi-year three-statement models and scenario analysis.
• Strong working knowledge of accounting principles (accrual vs. cash, revenue recognition, COGS treatment, inventory accounting).
• Experience with accounting platforms (QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero) and BI or reporting tools.
• Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, executive-ready insights and communicate with confidence to senior stakeholders.
• Bonus: strong experience with LLMs (Claude, ChatGPT) and automation platforms.
• Thrives in a lean, high-performance, distributed team environment.
