About us:
James Williamson Architects is a residential architecture practice based in Surrey, UK, working on high-end home extensions, renovations and new builds. We run a small remote team — most of it based in the Philippines — to a clear house standard in ArchiCAD 26. You'd work directly with the practice owner and our senior technician.

The role:
We're looking for a reliable, full-time ArchiCAD technician to model and visualise residential projects, fro ---------- asured surveys through to design options. You'll build accurate existing-conditions models, develop renovation and extension options, and produce clean visuals for client presentations — all to our standard template and detail library. This is a long-term position, not casual or project-by-project work.
ArchiCAD proficiency is essential. It is the core skill for this role and will be tested at application stage. If you are not confident and fast in ArchiCAD, this role isn't for you.

What you'll do:
Build accurate as-built (existing-conditions) models in ArchiCAD fro ---------- asured survey data
Reconcile discrepancies between survey information and the model
Develop design, renovation and extension options
Produce 3D visualisations and renders for client presentations (Enscape)
Work to our standard template, ArchiCAD library, finishes and house style
Keep files organised and share daily progress via Google Drive
Track your time via Hubstaff
Communicate clearly and flag issues early

You must have:
Strong, demonstrable ArchiCAD proficiency (ideally ArchiCAD 26) — modelling, layouts, library and object management
The ability to read measured surveys and translate them into accurate models
A good eye for spatial accuracy and residential interiors
Excellent written English and proactive communication
Self-management — you meet deadlines without being chased
A capable workstation and stable internet

Nice to have:
Enscape (or similar) rendering experience
UK or European residential project experience
An interest in growing into more technical, comprehensive project work over time

Hours & availability:
This is a full-time role (around 40 hours per week), Monday to Friday. We need a consistent daily schedule with a reliable overlap into UK working hours — your day should reach at least early afternoon UK time (around 14:00 UK / 21:00 Philippine time). Reliability and consistency are non-negotiable: please only apply if you can commit to full-time, regular weekday hours for the long term.

Salary:
£5–£8 per hour (approximately £870–£1,385 per month, full-time), paid in GBP via Wise. Your rate within this range depends on your demonstrated ArchiCAD ability, including the paid test task.
