JOB OVERVIEW

Canadian event ticket resale company, established in 1985, seeks to hire immediately.
Looking for a data wizard to monitor activity in private WhatsApp ticket trading groups, extract and organize buy/sell offers, and identify actionable arbitrage and market intelligence opportunities by comparing them against major live event ticket marketplaces.
We’re looking for someone reliable, sharp, and professional who can help us turn fast-moving chat activity into clear, usable market intelligence.
This is a part time gig if doing just the data management and analysis part.
This is a full time position with long term opportunity if this data wizard can efficiently execute targeted ticket purchases and do arbitrage buying and selling.

Key Responsibilities
Join and actively monitor 4 private WhatsApp ticket groups (you will be added by us).
Manually review new messages on a regular cadence (multiple check-ins per day during peak activity).
Conduct thrice daily data exports from these Whatsapp groups to capture every relevant buy or sell offer and log it cleanly into a shared Google Sheet with consistent fields: timestamp, event/match, date & kickoff time, ticket location (section/row/seats if available), quantity, price, buy vs. sell intent, poster notes, and any reference screenshots, along with contact info of the member making each post.
Sort, categorize, and analyze the data (by event, section popularity, price per ticket, motivated vs. patient sellers, urgency signals, etc.).
Cross-reference the same or comparable inventory on StubHub and other major resale platforms to spot pricing discrepancies and potential opportunities.
Flag high-potential opportunities, including:
Tickets offered in the WhatsApp groups meaningfully below current market rates.
Emerging pricing trends or section-specific insights.
Deliver concise, actionable summary reports daily highlighting the top opportunities with rough margin estimates (factoring in platform fees and realistic transfer considerations).
Maintain strict confidentiality of all group activity and personal information.

Requirements
You must be very smart.
Strong attention to detail and excellent data hygiene (you enjoy turning messy chat messages into clean, usable spreadsheets).
Ability to set up automated Google App scripts to automatically ingest and organize the daily Whatapp chat exports and compare
Advanced Google Sheets skills (filters, sorting, pivot tables, QUERY or basic formulas).
We value initiative with both the desire and ability to find a better way with process improvements.
Excellent written and spoke English
A dedicated, quiet workstation with dual monitors and highly reliable high-speed internet.
Pacific Time or North American time zone overlap.
Available to start within a few days

Nice to Have
Previous hands-on experience buying or selling tickets on StubHub, SeatGeek, or similar platforms, or working in a ticket brokerage/operations role.
Experience in arbitrage.
Familiarity with anti-detection or multi-login browsers (Insomniac, Jancy, GoLogin, etc.) is a major asset.
Reliable WhatsApp user (WhatsApp Desktop experience is a plus for managing multiple groups).

Our Required Coverage Window (Vancouver Pacific Time - PST/PDT)
We need a team to cleanly cover the following weekly schedule. You do not need to work all of these hours alone, but you must be able to commit to fixed, dependable shift blocks within these windows:
Monday–Friday: 7:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Please reply with **ALL** of the following:
A short note on why this role is a great fit
All relevant experience with ticket markets, arbitrage, data analysis, or WhatsApp/chat monitoring.
An example of how you would structure or have structured a tracking sheet for offers (or a link to a sample anonymized sheet if you have one).
Your expected hourly rate - note that we offer a performance bonus paid on each successful purchase from qualified opportunities found.
Which exact Pacific Time hours you can work (example: “Mon-Fri 1pm–9pm + Sat-Sun 9am–6pm”)
Total hours per week you can work
Confirmation that you have a reliable WhatsApp account and are comfortable being added to active trading groups.
