Responsibilities
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and proposals to prepare detailed cost estimates.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
Prepare and submit detailed bid proposals to clients within specified deadlines.
Conduct quantity take-offs and cost analysis to ensure project feasibility.
Maintain updated knowledge of current market prices for materials, labor, and equipment.
Assist project managers with budgeting and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
Develop and maintain a database of suppliers and subcontractors for estimating purposes.
Participate in pre-bid meetings and site visits to enhance understanding of project requirements.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
Excellent mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with tea
Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
