We are seeking an experienced Insurance Licensing and Carrier Contracting Specialist to assist our growing insurance agency on an as needed basis.
This is not a full time position. We are looking for someone we can call upon when onboarding new agents, obtaining nonresident licenses, processing carrier appointments, and handling contracting projects.
The ideal candidate has direct experience with NIPR, multi state licensing, carrier appointments, and agent contracting within the life, accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity, supplemental health, and fixed benefit insurance markets.
Responsibilities
• Obtain resident and nonresident insurance licenses for agents in multiple states
• Prepare and submit licensing applications through NIPR and state insurance departments
• Track licensing requirements, renewals, continuing education requirements, and compliance deadlines
• Manage carrier appointments and agent contracting
• Complete and submit carrier contracting packages
• Follow up with carriers, FMOs, and agencies until appointments are approved and active
• Assist agents with onboarding requirements, background checks, and related documentation
• Maintain accurate records of licensing, appointments, certifications, and contracting status
• Help create efficient onboarding and licensing processes as our agency expands

Experience with carriers such as United National Life (UNL), ManhattanLife, American Financial Security Life Insurance Company (AFSLIC), or similar carriers is strongly preferred.
