We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Grant Writer & Research Funding Specialist with a strong background in life sciences, biotechnology, medical research, public health, or healthcare innovation. The ideal candidate will identify funding opportunities, develop compelling grant applications, coordinate scientific and regulatory documentation, and support strategic research initiatives.
This role is ideal for someone passionate about advancing innovative healthcare technologies, translational medicine, neuroscience, regenerative medicine, medical devices, or clinical research programs.
Key Responsibilities
Grant Research & Opportunity Identification
-Identify and monitor federal, state, foundation, nonprofit, and private-sector grant opportunities
-Track funding announcements from organizations such as NIH, NSF, DoD, BARDA, FDA, foundations, and international funding agencies
-Evaluate eligibility requirements and strategic fit for research initiatives
-Maintain a grant calendar and submission pipeline
Grant Writing & Application Development
-Write, edit, and submit high-quality grant proposals, letters of intent, white papers, and funding applications
-Collaborate with scientists, physicians, engineers, and leadership teams to gather technical information
-Translate complex scientific concepts into clear, compelling narratives for reviewers and funding agencies
-Prepare supporting materials including budgets, biosketches, timelines, milestone plans, and research summaries
-Assist with SBIR/STTR applications and clinical research funding proposals
Scientific & Regulatory Support
-Support development of clinical study descriptions, scientific rationales, and research justifications
-Assist with IRB-related documentation, clinical protocols, and publication support
-Coordinate data collection and supporting evidence for grant submissions
-Ensure applications comply with funding agency requirements and deadlines
Project Coordination
-Work cross-functionally with research, operations, finance, regulatory, and executive teams
-Maintain organized records of submissions, approvals, revisions, and reporting obligations
-Assist with post-award reporting and progress updates when grants are awarded
Qualifications
Required
-Bachelor’s degree or higher in:

-Strong scientific writing and communication skills
-Experience writing or assisting with grants, research proposals, or scientific publications
