JOB OVERVIEW

We're a metal fabrication and import company that supplies precision-machined metal parts to customers in North America. Our engineering and manufacturing team is in China; our customers are in North America. We're looking for a Philippines-based Quality Engineer to sit between the two — making sure the parts our China team produces match what our North American customers asked for, and keeping both sides aligned on quality.

In short: you're the bridge between our China operations and our North American customers.

What you'll do
• Act as the main quality contact connecting our China team and our North American customers
• Check First Article Inspection (FAI) reports against customer drawings to confirm every dimension and feature is within tolerance
• Read engineering drawings and 3D CAD models — some dimensions come from the 3D model, not the 2D drawing — and understand GD&T
• Review supplier measurement data and process capability (Cpk) studies
• Check material certificates and Certificates of Conformance (COC) against the spec
• When parts don't conform, work with the China team to fix it and follow through — keeping the customer informed along the way
• Keep clear, organized quality records

What you'll need
• Engineering degree (Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial, or related)
• Some quality (QA/QC) experience in machining, manufacturing, or metal fabrication
• Able to read mechanical drawings and 3D models, and understand GD&T (ASME Y14.5 or ISO)
• Strong written and spoken English — you'll deal with both our China team and North American customers daily
• Detail-oriented and able to work independently in a remote setting

Nice to have (not required)
• Experience working with factories in China
• Familiarity with Cpk/process capability, FAI, or PPAP
• Comfortable with Excel and AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude) to work efficiently
