JOB OVERVIEW

We don't shoot real estate. We shoot the feeling of a place.
LEKKER Studios is a luxury real estate media company built on editorial taste, technical discipline, and a deep belief that light tells the truth about a space. We serve builders, developers, and top-tier listing agents across the NYC metro market. Our work looks like it belongs in a magazine. It sells properties and builds reputations.
We're looking for a video editor who operates at that same level. Someone who understands brand, pacing, and the difference between a cut that lands and one that doesn't. Someone who knows DaVinci Resolve not as a tool but as a language.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Edit luxury real estate walkthrough videos, cinematic listing films, and branded short-form reels
Color grade footage to match LEKKER Studios' editorial visual identity: rich, restrained, real
Cut vertical Reels and Stories optimized for Instagram and TikTok without compromising visual quality
Build and maintain branded motion graphics templates, lower thirds, and title sequences
Sync music with intent. Pacing is editorial, not automated
Work within established brand guidelines while bringing creative ideas to every project
Collaborate directly with the founder on high-profile property films and client deliverables
Manage project files, proxies, and delivery outputs with clean, organized discipline

WHAT YOU NEED

Expert-level DaVinci Resolve. Not proficient. Expert. Color, Fusion, Fairlight, Cut page, all of it
A portfolio that shows real range: narrative pacing, color work, motion design, and brand consistency
Strong understanding of luxury brand language visually and tonally
Experience editing real estate, architecture, hospitality, or lifestyle content
Ability to work with log footage, mixed color profiles, and multi-cam timelines
Clean file management habits. Organized project structure is not optional
Reliable internet, capable hardware, and a professional home edit setup
Strong communication. You can take feedback without ego and give feedback with clarity

WHAT SETS YOU APART

You've worked on short films, brand campaigns, or editorial-grade content, not just listing videos
You understand light. You know when footage is underexposed vs atmospherically dark. The difference matters
You can watch a rough cut and feel what it needs before anyone says a word
You have an opinion. You bring ideas. You push back when something isn't right
You've built motion graphics from scratch, not just dropped in templates
You know what good audio design does to a real estate film

THE WORK ENVIRONMENT
Remote. Async-first. Direct communication with the founder. No corporate layers. No committees. Fast feedback, high standards, and real creative latitude when you've earned the trust.
This starts as a project-based engagement. For the right person it grows into a core team role. We are building something with a long shelf life and we want people who want to build it with us.

COMPENSATION
Project-based or retainer, depending on volume and fit. Rates are competitive and reflect the quality of the work we expect. We don't lowball creatives. We also don't hire people who don't value their own work.
